THE MISSION

Sophia stormed into Mia's dingy cell, finding her tied to a chair, eyes swollen from tears, and visibly unkempt.

"You did this, you bitch," Sophia spat, slapping Mia.

Mia remained silent, exhausted.

Sophia's anger boiled over. "You're a waste of my time." She shoved Mia's chair, sending her crashing to the ground. Mia's forehead gashed open, covering her face in blood.

Sophia stormed out, only to encounter Mason.

"Is she dead?" Mason asked.

Sophia's eyes blazed. "You're a monster. Release her. Cancel your plans. I'll expose your secrets to Bryson. I have evidence to put you away for life."

Mason's grip on Sophia's arm tightened. "You'll do nothing. In minutes, you'll be six feet under."

Sophia's eyes widened in horror as Mason stabbed her twice. She crumpled, blood-soaked, her eyes frozen in shock.

As life slipped away, Sophia tried to speak, but it was too late.

Mason stood over her lifeless body, his expression twisted in satisfaction. "I can't let anyone ruin me, not even you, Sophia. Rest in peace, bitch." He kicked her body aside.

Mason entered Mia's room, finding her on the floor, lifeless and bloodied.

"Wow, this makes things easier. I hope she's dead," Mason said, approaching Mia.

He cut the ropes from her hands and legs, about to check her pulse when his phone rang.

"Damn this idiot interrupting me," Mason yelled, stunned to see his mother calling.

"This woman will be the death of me," he muttered before answering.

"Hello, Mum."

"You idiot! You've disgraced me, ruined my life!" his mother shouted, crying.

"Mum, what's going on?" Mason asked.

"Get here now, to the company, you idiot!" His mother's voice was laced with venom before the call ended.

"What the hell is happening?" Mason sighed, turning to Mia.

"No point killing her; she's almost dead. No one will save her from here. She'll die a miserable death. I won't waste my time."

Mason turned to leave but was halted by a chilling sight.

The dilapidated building teetered on the brink of collapse. Mason cursed under his breath, spotting a door leading outside. As he approached, a stick from the roof fell, blocking his escape.

"I'm trapped!" he cried out.

Meanwhile, Dylan urged, "Let's move, we can't waste time."

The group piled into Bryson's car, speeding down the highway. Ignoring angry shouts and horns, Bryson focused on reaching Mia.

"Please hold on, Mia," they silently prayed.

Upon arrival, they leapt from the car, confronted by the building's catastrophic state.

"Holy moly..." Dylan trailed off, stunned.

"Is this the right place?" Bryson asked, met with Dylan's uneasy silence.

"Dylan, speak to us!" Nora cried.

"This was where I was held captive, but...what if Mia's in danger?" Dylan's voice trembled.

A faint cry pierced the air: "Somebody help!"

"They're in there!" Dylan shouted, sprinting toward the building.

Inside, Sophia's lifeless body lay on the floor. Nora screamed, covering her face.

"Dear God, what would have happened to Mia?" Dylan gasped.

Bryson froze, knees buckling. Tears streamed down his face as he cradled Sophia's body.

"Sophia, wake up!" Bryson pleaded, his voice cracking.

Dylan intervened, "We're here for Mia, not Sophia! Does anyone know if she was involved?"

Bryson's eyes blazed. "Never! Sophia may have hated Mia, but she'd never harm her!"

Another stick fell, and the group fled, leaving Sophia behind.

They split up, searching for Mia. Nora discovered a locked door, blocked by a fallen beam.

"One kick should do it," she thought, booting the door open.

Nora gasped, finding Mia's blood-covered body pinned under a wooden beam.

"Mia!" Nora screamed, rushing to her side.

The others followed, horrified by Mia's state. Bryson swept her into his arms, and they desperately sought an escape.

As they navigated the collapsing building, time was running out.
