HER LUCKY CHARM
"Kyle, you scoundrel!" Dylan cursed under his breath as he opened the door. Priscilla didn't even allow the door to fully open before she pushed Dylan aside and stormed in. She was brandishing a golf club, her eyes blazing with fury.
"I know Kyle is hiding in here, so where is he?" Priscilla yelled, her teeth clenched in rage.
"He was here hours ago, but he's long gone," Dylan muttered, trying to catch his breath.
Priscilla let out a maniacal laugh and scoffed. "And you expect me to believe that? Do you want me to crack your skull with this?" She raised the golf club, her eyes flashing with menace.
Kyle was shivering in his hiding place, perspiration drenching him as he silently prayed for divine intervention.
"Why does Kyle always attract such unstable women?" Dylan wondered inwardly. He sighed heavily and faced Priscilla, who continued to glare at him with a ferocity that made him fear for his life.
"Please leave my house; this is my residence, not Kyle's. And last I checked, I wasn't the one who broke your heart," Dylan said, attempting to push Priscilla out. However, she exploded in anger and struck the golf club against Dylan's head, sending him crashing to the floor with a groan of pain.
"Dylan, please forgive me!" Kyle whispered, still cowering in his hiding place.
"And as for Kyle, I'll be back for him," Priscilla warned before storming out of the house.
"Kyle, you scoundrel!" Dylan yelled, clutching his head as blood streamed from his nose. Kyle emerged from his hiding place, feigning tears.
"Dylan, please forgive me; I can explain," Kyle pleaded.
"There's nothing to explain, you fool. Now get out of my house!" Dylan retorted angrily.
"No, Dylan, I need to take you to the hospital, and besides, Priscilla just left a few minutes ago. If I go now, she might see me," Kyle pleaded.
"You fool, to hell with you and your Priscilla! Was I there when you broke her heart? Now get out of my house and never return here again whenever you break someone's heart!" Dylan yelled, kicking Kyle out as he continued to beg for forgiveness.
Kyle sighed as he tried to hail a cab, but Priscilla spotted him and shouted. "Kyle, you motherfucker!" Kyle was so frightened that he removed his shoes and ran away, with Priscilla in hot pursuit.
Meanwhile, Bryson waited nervously for Mia. He glanced at his wristwatch, unable to concentrate on the work in front of him. The door of his office burst open, revealing Mia's lovely face. Bryson smiled and sighed in relief.
"Good morning, boss. I'm sorry I'm late; I was held up in traffic," Mia apologized, bowing her head.
"Oh, it's fine. You can start work now," Bryson replied, smiling.
Mia was surprised. "Bryson is smiling? That's rare," she thought inwardly, chuckling to herself. She began the day's work at her desk.
A few hours into their work, Mia discovered an opportunity that could boost their company's online resources. She squealed with excitement as she ran up to Bryson, who was engrossed in his work. "Boss, you need to check this out!" Mia shouted happily.
Her smile was infectious, and Bryson couldn't help but smile at her. He grabbed the laptop from her hand, his eyes widening in surprise. "Wow, how did you get this?" he asked, squealing with excitement.
"By luck; consider this my lucky charm," Mia giggled. To her surprise, Bryson stood up and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, Mia. You've been a blessing to this company," he said, making Mia blush hard. Her cheeks flushed red as Bryson released her from the hug.
"Wow, seriously, Mia, are you blushing?" Bryson asked, laughing out loud as he pointed to her cheeks. Mia was so embarrassed that she covered her face with her long hair, making her look like a ghost.
"I'm not blushing, boss; I'm just excited," Mia said shyly, quickly returning to her desk while Bryson chuckled.
Mason was in his office with Kim, one of his mistresses. They were snogging on the desk, lost in pleasure, when the door burst open, and Harrison entered. He was stunned beyond imagination at the awful sight before him. Mason was furious, breathing heavily, while Kim covered her nakedness in shame.
"Have you lost your manners? Why can't you knock before entering? Do you want to lose your job?" Mason yelled angrily.
"Oh my gosh! Seriously?" Kim retorted angrily and ran out of his office. "Baby, please come back; I'm sorry," Mason shouted after her, but Kim didn't stop as she ran out of the company.
Mason ruffled his hair as he walked closer to Harrison, who was praying for the ground to open and swallow him to save him from this trouble he had just put himself into. Mason slapped him hard on the face, making him almost fall to the ground. It was a very visible strike, much like a haymaker or a roundhouse punch, and bright flashes appeared in front of his eyes.
"I'm sorry, boss; it was a mistake," Harrison stuttered, crying.
"You fool..." Mason trailed off as his mother entered the office, looking furious.
"Mum," Mason said, but was met with a resounding slap from his mother.
