GOING ON A DATE WITH MY CEO
Harrison hastily greeted Brianna and fled the office, grateful she had intervened on his behalf.
"You reckless son, you've brought nothing but shame to our family," Brianna exclaimed, her voice echoing through the room. "Your father would be rolling in his grave if he knew about your antics." She struck Mason's chest repeatedly, her anger and disappointment palpable.
"Mum, what's going on?" Mason asked, bewildered by her outburst.
"Are you asking me? The entire company is abuzz with your scandalous behavior, sleeping with that woman in the office when you should be working," Brianna lamented. "Meanwhile, Bryson is diligently working with his intelligent PA, achieving remarkable success. You're a disappointment to the Tylers family."
She added, her voice heavy with sorrow, "I wish Bryson were my son. His PA brought him a lucrative idea, and now BT Company is the epitome of excellence." With that, she stormed out of the office.
Mason's anger boiled over, and he slammed his fist on the desk, summoning Harrison immediately.
Harrison entered, looking frightened. "You idiot, why didn't you inform me about Bryson's PA's innovative idea?" Mason yelled.
"I'm sorry, boss. That's what I came to discuss earlier, but you didn't give me a chance," Harrison pleaded.
Mason's ire intensified. "You're always deflecting blame. What's the purpose of having you as my PA? You're useless, like a waste bin. Look at what other PAs are accomplishing."
Harrison attempted to protest, but Mason cut him off, hurling his shoe at him. Without hesitation, Harrison fled the office.
The next day, Bryson approached Mia with a beaming smile.
"Boss, what can I do for you?" Mia asked anxiously.
"Nothing, Mia. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your diligent work. Your salary will be increased," Bryson announced, his smile broadening.
Mia's excitement overflowed, and she jumped up, embracing Bryson tightly. "Thank you, boss!" she exclaimed.
Bryson shared her enthusiasm, but felt a pang of disappointment when Mia quickly released him.
"I'm sorry, boss. I got carried away," she apologized.
"No, Mia, it's fine. It's natural to be excited after hearing such news," Bryson reassured her, his words making Mia blush deeply.
"Thank you, boss," she replied shyly.
"My pleasure, let me treat you to dinner tonight, Mia," Bryson said, and Mia was taken aback.
"Is that a date...?" Mia trailed off, realizing her question had slipped out.
"Seems like it," Bryson replied with a wink, returning to his desk.
Mia's excitement was palpable as she typed absent-mindedly on her laptop, her heart racing with anticipation.
Meanwhile, Sophia Bridgerton was at the club with her friends Clara and Josephine, enjoying drinks and dancing. As the night wore on, Sophia became tired and sat lazily in her chair, slurring her words.
"Bryson, my love, I'm coming back to the states soon... I've missed us," Sophia stuttered drunkenly.
Clara rolled her eyes. "Girl, stop spitting nonsense. We all know you don't love Bryson."
Sophia's anger flared, and she hit Clara hard on the face, sparking a heated fight. Josephine tried to intervene but was pushed roughly to the ground.
Mia entered her apartment to find it empty. She sat on the bed, still blushing at the thought of her date with Bryson tonight. Suddenly, the door burst open, and Nora entered, looking excited.
"My baby!" Nora cooed, pulling Mia into a hug and showering her with kisses.
Mia pushed Nora away slightly. "Where have you been? You can't possibly tell me you're just coming back from the mall at this time of day."
Nora giggled. "Aww, someone's jealous. I went out with my boyfriend."
Mia chuckled. "Go easy, girl." She glanced at her watch and smiled before rushing to get ready.
Thirty minutes later, Mia emerged looking stunning in a blue crop top and matching jeans, her hair cascading down her back. Nora was taken aback by Mia's transformation.
"Wow, what's the occasion, amiga?" Nora asked, her mouth agape.
Mia replied, "I'll tell you when I get back. After all, you didn't tell me where you were going the other day, since we've started keeping secrets as best friends."
Nora held Mia's hand. "You're so jealous, Mia. Tell me, are you going on a date?"
Mia confirmed, "Yes, babe, I'm going on a date with Bryson. See you later," and left Nora looking confused and shocked.
As soon as Mia was out the door, Nora exclaimed, "What the fuck!" her brain finally processing the revelation.
