NORA'S DATE

"Mia, thank you so much. I feel much better," Bryson said as he broke the hug while Mia giggled. They sat down again and stared deep into the waters. "Should I confess my feelings to her?" Bryson thought. He was so much in love with Mia now and couldn't help but stare at her.

Mia's phone rang, and she picked it up immediately. "Hi, Mum... yeah, I'm fine, and you?" She spoke for a while before ending the call.

"Now, let's go back to the hotel. I hope you had fun?" Bryson asked as he stood up and pulled Mia up.

"Yes, boss, thanks to you," she replied, and they both walked to where the car was parked and entered before driving off.

They met with a few investors for the remaining two days and were done with the business deals. The next day, they took a flight back to the States.

Nora was overjoyed to see Mia again. She pulled her into a tight hug and screamed happily. "I'm so excited to see you again, Mia! I've missed you. You've grown so big and taller; look at how your skin glows!" Nora kept ranting while Mia chuckled.

"You talk as if I've spent 10 years in Australia," Mia said, grinning.

"Come on, baby, what has he been feeding you with? Are you two in a relationship now? Did my trick work?" Nora kept asking, jumping in excitement.

"Nora, can you please just shut up?" Mia asked and rolled her eyes. "We are now close, but not in a relationship, and thanks to your stupid tricks, you almost ruined our business deals," she added, and Nora became confused.

"What do you mean by that? Gist me, girl," she said.

Mia sighed and sat down before explaining everything to Nora. "Oh my gosh! That means Bryson loves you; he was jealous," Nora screamed as she started jumping up again. Mia rolled her eyes and stared at her crazy friend in disbelief.

"This is too good to be true. Bryson has fallen for you; my trick worked, but babe, you are not wearing those dresses he bought for you; it will make you look old, and you are not married yet," Nora said and started packing the clothes. Mia was too tired for Nora's naughtiness as she kept mute.

After packing the clothes, Nora checked the time on her wristwatch and gasped in surprise. "Oh my! I'm running late already," she shouted as she ran into her room.

"What's going on?" Mia asked no one in particular.

A few minutes later, Nora came out looking stunning. Her long hair fell down her waist, making her look like a princess. She had a slight makeup on her face. She was dressed in a short red gown and red heeled shoes to match. She held a little black bag and smiled at Mia.

"How do I look?" She asked.

"Extremely beautiful," Mia said, gasping in surprise.

"Aww, thanks, darling!" Nora replied.

"Nora, what the hell is going on? The last time you were dressed like this was when you were dating Jack. Are you in a relationship?" Mia asked.

"Um... Mia, I'll explain everything to you when I'm back. I love you, bye," Nora said and ran out of the room before Mia could say anything.

"Things are happening," Mia exclaimed as she fell on the bed, shutting her eyes and trying hard to sleep.

Bryson felt lonely in his room as he thought of Mia and sighed. "I wish to see her again; can't wait till tomorrow. I miss her already," he said and lay on the bed.

It was late in the evening when Nora came back, looking exhausted as she sat close to Mia, who was busy with her phone. She pecked her on the cheek, and Mia rolled her eyes.

"My best friend has started keeping secrets," she said, feigning sadness.

"Aww, I love that look," Nora said and laughed. She explained everything that had happened between her and Husayn to Mia. Mia gasped in surprise and screamed.

"So you guys are dating now?"

"Yes, baby. I hope he doesn't hurt me like Jack, even though he promised never to break my heart," Nora pouted.

Mia pulled her into a tight hug. "My baby, I'm so happy for you, finally! So while I was in Australia, my baby was already falling in love," she said, and they both laughed.

"We need to celebrate this; get me some drinks," Mia shouted, but Nora frowned.

"What's with the look?" Mia asked.

"Not again, Mia. I can't deal with you in your drunk state because you have zero tolerance for alcohol," Nora said, and Mia rolled her eyes.

"Whatever! So when am I meeting your boyfriend?" Mia asked, and Nora blushed.

"Soon! Mia, I forgot to tell you something."

"What's that?"

Nora explained how Dylan came to pick a fight with her and how Husayn came to her rescue.

"Aww, that's so sweet of him, and as for Dylan, that serves him right," Mia said, and they both laughed out loud.

Dylan fumed with anger as he scrolled through Mia's IG. He saw different posts, pictures of Bryson and Mia on the beach, which made him more furious as he threw the phone on the floor.

"Stop venting your anger on the poor phone; it's high time you let go of Mia," Kyle said, picking up the phone.

"I won't give up, and as for Bryson, I'm going to go and give him a warning to stay away from my girlfriend," Dylan yelled.

"Ex-girlfriend," Kyle said, and Dylan glared at him.

"She broke up with me, but I didn't break up with her, so she's still my girlfriend. I'm never going to let go of Mia, and don't you ever say that again, Kyle."

"Okay, sir," Kyle said and chuckled.

The doorbell rang, and Kyle checked the person at the door and gasped in surprise.

"Who's it?" Dylan asked nonchalantly.

Kyle ran to him and fell on his knees. "Dylan, please save me this once. It's Priscilla. We only had a one-night stand, but she's bent on being my girlfriend, which I've refused several times," Kyle whispered as he pleaded.

Dylan became furious as he glared at Kyle. "Will you open the freaking door right now, you jerk?"

They heard Priscilla's angry voice from outside, and Dylan ruffled his hair in annoyance. He pushed Kyle inside and hid him as he breathed heavily.
