"yours is the light by which my spirit is born: -you are my sun, my moon, and all my stars." -E. E Cummings _____________________________
Upon arriving back at the Hidden Leaf Village, Team 7 took some time to recover before going on lots of D rank missions. Due to Naruto's begging, they occasionally got a C rank, but they mostly went on boring missions.
Satoru and Sasuke spent almost all of their free time training relentlessly. Both of them having awakened their clan's Dōjutsu, they absolutely had to hone their skills. Naruto and Sakura would join them occasionally, all of them sparring together.
Satoru and Naruto's teamwork seemed to improve at an extreme level, the both of them being able to easily act on the same page. Naruto and Sasuke however, seemed to go backwards with their teamwork. It even started to interfere with some of their missions. Satoru assumed it was due to Sasuke having to save the Uzumaki boy during their mission in the Land of Waves.
Satoru and Sakura bonded over their shared love of keeping Naruto and Sasuke in check. Whenever the two boys would start to bicker endlessly, they would scold them and deliver a quick smack to the back of their heads.
"It's not a power to be used all the time. You have an immense amount of Chakra, but using the Miraigan will deplete it faster than you think." Koari said.
"Yes, yes, I know." Satoru grumbled out as he rolled his eyes.
"Okay, you can leave now." Koari sighed.
Hearing Koari's words, Satoru immediately ran out of his apartment, saying a quick "bye" to his 'babysitter.' The Tsukinaga boy was on his way to a meeting called by Kakashi. They had lots of missions today.
Satoru ran to the bridge Team 7 was supposed to meet on that morning. He knew Kakashi would most likely be late, but he didn't mind the company of his fellow comrades. Well, he actually quite enjoyed it. Although, he could never tell them that, of course.
Upon arriving at the bridge, he saw Sasuke and Sakura waiting, Naruto and Kakashi weren't there yet.
"Morning, Satoru!" Sakura shouted out with a smile.
"Morning." Satoru replied, moving to stand next to Sasuke. Neither of them said anything, they just exchanged a small nod. Both of them just silently enjoyed each other's company.
Then, Naruto came running up to the three, immediately going to stand beside Sakura. "Good morning, Sakura! What's up?" He said, before side eyeing Sasuke.
