"greif is so heavy, it's something that you carry forever, in the shadows, in the light. it's something embedded in you. you won't forget it, it will always linger, you find a way to survive with it." -Sara Sheehan _____________________________
It was midday, and the sun was high in the sky when Satoru and Koari made it to the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Woods. A line of massive trees were lined across the border. Snow covered the ground and sat on the bare trees. The only green in the forest was found on the pine needles of the many large cedar trees.
"Never been in this part of the Land of Woods. The trees are even bigger out here." Satoru said amazed.
"I've never been down here either. I'm old, but I'm not old enough to remember when this was still apart of the Land of Fire." Koari said.
"Really? I could've sworn you were about 50 years old."
"What?! I'm 27 for your information." Koari shouted. "50 years old... I can't believe it... Okay! Let's go." He said, jumping into the trees.
Satoru followed quickly after the Jōnin. The two jumped through the trees, both looking for any signs of activity.
"Do you remember the Village?" Koari asked.
"Shinringakure... The village hidden by the forest. I remember it, but it's distorted, if that makes sense. I can picture the village in my head, but it's different... like... I've only seen it in my dreams."
"Hmmm, yeah I think I understand what you mean."

Satoru scouted along the outside of the village walls, looking for any signs of Sound Ninja. He trailed his hands along the stone barriers, relishing in the familiar, cold feeling of the now rough rocks on his fingertips. "No Sound Ninja here." He said with a sigh.
The Tsukinaga walked around the entire village border, not seeing a sign of anyone. He then jumped back into the trees, meeting up with Koari.
"I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. You?" Satoru asked.
"Absolutely nothing. Not one sign of any activity." Koari replied.
"Then we should go in the village. We've been scouting here for hours."
"I think you're right. I don't sense anyone around. You enter from the north and I'll enter from the south. Keep an eye out and if you see anybody, don't engage."
