"it's crazy what'd you do for a friend" -the neighbourhood _____________________________
"Satoru! Up, now!" Koari shouted, making Satoru jolt out of his slumber.
"What?! Did Sasuke finally show up? Is it time for his match?"
"No. Something's going on. I'm sorry but Sasuke and Gaara have already fought. I couldn't come get you, I was monitoring a situation." Koari said.
"What situation? What was so important?" Satoru questioned, jumping up out of his infirmary bed.
"Orochimaru, Sound Ninja, and Sand Ninja are attacking the village. Orochimaru is currently fighting the Hokage but Sasuke..."
"Sasuke what?! Did Orochimaru get to him?! Tell me!"
"No, no, he chased after Gaara, who ran away from the village. Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru are already en route. They might've already arrived. Go after them. I have no doubt that your immense knowledge of the forest will allow you to track them down. Go! Treat this as an S Rank Mission!" Koari shouted.
Satoru immediately jumped through an open window, exiting the infirmary. He ran at full speed around the arena, hearing the clash of kunai and Jutsu from inside. Ignoring the sounds of battle, Satoru rushed out of the village, jumping into the trees beyond the boundaries of Konoha.
His eyes quickly surveyed the area. A lot of footprints in the trees, paw prints, and a marking on the side of a branch.
'It seems like whoever's in this forest right now has stepped on this damn branch. I have no clue how many people are here. And what about these damn paw prints? A dog? Shit this is confusing. And this marking in the tree... It's in the shape of an arrow. Someone was making a path. Was it for me, or was it for enemy Ninja? No use in racking my brain about it. I have a clear path.' Satoru thought, jumping through the forest.
The sun was beaming down on Satoru's back as his mind began to race. Was he too late? Had something happened to Sasuke. What about the rest of Team 7 and Shikamaru?
After a while of running and jumping through the forest, Satoru heard a loud series of explosions. No doubt traps set for Sasuke. It just motivated Satoru more. He channeled Chakra into his legs, pushing forward much faster than he was before, but the fatigue in his body was clear. Shino's bugs eating most of his Chakra and using his Miraigan so much in his Chunin Exam match was still taking a toll on him. Satoru just hoped he wouldn't need to fight as he zoomed though the trees.
