Satoru stood outside of the Hokage's office. It'd been a week since Naruto left the village, and he had already been on two missions, leaving him no time to train in a controlled setting. He knocked on the door, waiting until he heard, "Come in," to enter the room.
"Satoru? What are you doing in here?" Tsunade asked.
"I want a break from missions. I need to build my strength. Going on a mission, getting back to the village, and then going on another mission the next day is giving me no time to train! I only have three years. By then, there will be no time to train, I'll need to go after Sasuke immediately!" Satoru explained.
"Satoru. You know as well as any Shinobi in Konoha that your main loyalty is to the village. When you're assigned a mission, you go on that mission... but, I will give you slight leniency. You will be assigned less missions for three months." Tsunade said with a sigh.
"Only three months?"
"Don't push it! You're an exceptional Shinobi. I have no doubt that you have the potential to become a Jōnin very soon. You could even be recommended and recruited into the Anbu Black Ops, the highest level of Shinobi in our village. You would get plenty of training from the highest level of Shinobi there. Do not forget this."
"O-of course. Do you know where Koari is?" Satoru asked.
"Yes, he's on a mission. You know the village is weak right now. There aren't enough Jōnin and Chunin to go on missions and protect the village. If you want to train, it'll have to be on your own."
"Actually, I can train him."
"What?! Kakashi?! You're supposed to be on a mission! What are you doing here?!" Tsunade yelled.
"I just finished my most recent mission." Kakashi said, walking fully into the office. "Like you said, the village needs more high level Shinobi to protect the it. I can give you one... but I can only do that if we have no missions for three months." He said with a closed eyed smile.
Satoru looked back and forth between a happy Kakashi... and a very angry Tsunade. The two stared at each other for a moment before Tsunade let out an exhausted sigh.
"Fine. Get outta here before I send you both on a year long recon mission."
"Of course, Lady Tsunade. Thank you." Kakashi said, bowing his head.
