Satoru sat on top of the Hokage Stone faces, overlooking the village. It had been a few days since the Third Hokage's death. Satoru spent those days helping rebuild the village and training.
Beside the Tsukinaga was Sasuke. The bright sun shone down on the Uchiha's hair, revealing the blue tint hiding in his dark hair.
"Satoru, why didn't you watch my match in the Chunin Exam?"
Satoru was taken aback by the question. The two were sitting in silence for half an hour before the Uchiha spoke. "I wanted to watch it, but when you didn't show up for your match the first time, it had to be postponed and mine was brought up. When I fought Shino, the battle left me with basically no Chakra, I had to stay in the infirmary. Koari just wouldn't let me leave."
Sasuke stared down at the village in thought. A gust of wind blew through the air, pushing Sasuke's long hair in front of his face. He used his hand to brush the dark strands out of the way.
"Your hair is getting pretty long. Want me to cut it?" Satoru asked.
"Pfft, like I'd let you touch my hair." Sasuke said with a small concealed laugh.
"Shut up! Come here." Satoru said, pulling out a kunai and moving to face the Uchiha.
"Don't mess this up, idiot." Sasuke said, moving to face the Tsukinaga.
"Yeah, yeah shorty." Satoru brought the kunai up to Sasuke's hair, using his long, slender fingers to grasp the longer stands and slowly cut them.
Sasuke looked into Satoru's crimson eyes just as Satoru looked into his dark ones in a quick moment of awkwardness as they both jolted away from each other.
"There." Satoru said.
"Yeah. It seems you didn't do half bad." Sasuke said, looking into the sky and seeing a familiar black bird circling around him. "Kakashi's calling me."
"Do you want to train later?" Satoru said, looking to where Sasuke sat, and seeing no one there.

Throughout the day, Satoru trained around the village, doing push ups, sit ups, laps, practicing his Chakra...
He couldn't help but to think about Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto was able to defeat Gaara when all he could do was sit around and watch. Sasuke was able to defeat Gaara in their Chunin match, but what could Satoru do? What has he done?
