Opening his eyes, Satoru found himself in a dark room. The only light coming from a dim source behind him. Looking down, he saw a large circle, which he was in the middle of. Red writing was all throughout the circle, but before Satoru could read it or even comprehend where he was or what had happened previously, Kakashi spoke to him.
"Well, look who's awake."
"What? What happened? Where are we?" Satoru asked as he slowly brought his body up into a sitting position. Finally talking a good look around him, he saw Sasuke unconscious on the floor and couple feet away. "And what happened to Sasuke?! Is he okay?!"
Kakashi let out a long sigh before crouching down to the Tsukinaga boy's level. "First things first, we need to seal that Curse Mark of yours. During your preliminary fight, you activated your Miraigan even after I specifically instructed you not to. I assume you believed that you were somehow immune to the effects of that mark considering how they had yet to affect you the way they did Sasuke. Am I correct?"
Satoru shut his eyes, silently cursing himself for being so stupid. "Yeah. I just thought my Chakra was different. That the mark wouldn't react to it."
Sighing again, Kakashi stood up. "Well, as you know, that was not the case. I saw your face during the match, and I saw the way you gripped your shoulder in pain. The Mark was effecting you, and that became exceptionally clear during the end of your fight."
"I... I can't remember what happened."
"You used a Jutsu to cover the floor of the battle area in fire. You trapped Kurotori inside of it, trying to end the fight. Only you did not stop there. With a smile on your face, you held Kurotori's face in the fire as it melted and he screamed and begged for mercy. I know that is not who you are, Satoru. It was the Curse Mark effecting you."
"Is he okay..?" Satoru asked with his fists clenched into a tight ball.
"More so than not. He will recover. Now, I've already sealed Sasuke's Mark, that's why he's unconscious. It's time for yours. Remove your shirt."
"Yeah, okay." Satoru said as he removed his shirt.
Kakashi picked up a bowl of red ink off of the ground and used it to write on Satoru's skin around the mark.
"What you're writing, it's the same as what's on the ground?"
"Yes, it's apart of the seal." Kakashi said, placing the bowl on the ground. "Now, this will be over quickly.
Satoru braced himself as Kakashi performed hand signs. 'I can't believe I missed Sasuke's fight because of this damn mark! He has to go through all of this pain and suffering because he tried to protect me...'
