Asher appeared in the woods and quickly shifted into his wolf. He met up with some warriors of Blue Moon pack and together, they gave a hoot pursuit to a pack of wolves. The wolves were fast and although they could outrun Asher’s warriors, they couldn’t outrun him and so with time, his people were way behind him and he was not ready to let go of the wolves’ trails. He couldn’t believe that he had just moved in and they had shown appearance again. With how close he was at catching them, he knew his decision of moving temporarily to the human realm was the best, even though the unknown wolves weren’t the only reason he had suggested it.
He leaped on a tree, tapping into his nightwalkers powers to keep him balance on the trees as he leaped from one to the other. After a few jumped, he finally landed with a loud roar and the wolves in front of him screeched to a stop. They watched him, wanting to know what he would do next and the best way to evade him.
‘Who are you,’ Asher asked in the mind link, as the future High Alpha, he can communicate with any wolf regardless of their packs. He saw the shock in the wolves eyes, no doubt they were surprised that he could contact them in the mind link. ‘I will tell you this, I won’t hurt you if you cooperate with me. I just want to know who you are and what pack you belong to. If you answer my question, you can safely leave the woods, but if you prove otherwise, not so much.’ His wolf huffed and his red eyes burned redder to let them know he wasn’t joking.
The wolves stared at each other before one of them stepped out. It was big and black and Asher knew immediately that it was an Alpha wolf. ‘We don’t want any problem,’ The voice was deep in Asher’s mind but young none the less and he figured it must be a teenager, probably a future alpha.
‘I know you don’t want problem, neither do I but you have been making ceaseless appearances in the human realm and we can’t just ignore it anymore. I know every pack in the woods by heart and I have never seen your wolf before. You are different and you clearly don’t follow our ways so we have to bring you to order.’
‘Follow your ways, you are not our alpha and our alpha doesn’t see anything wrong with our ways so why should we follow yours?’ A young girl’s voice rang in Asher’s mind and his gaze went to a petite gray wolf on the left.
He growled softly and saw her whimper before he turned his gaze back to the black wolf in front of him. ‘State your business in the human realm and where you are from.’ He ordered.
‘Like I said, we don’t want any problem but if you want that, we can only oblige. As you can see, there is only one you and six us, who do you think would win?’ The boy asked.
Asher scoffed in his mind as his claws burrowed into the forest soil to balance himself. He knew he can easily call them to order with his High Alpha command but he really wanted to taste how good they were. ‘You don’t know who you are up against, boy,’ he said and that seemed to have done it as one wolf leaped from behind the boy and landed on him. Asher quickly protected his neck to prevent his bite before he slapped him away with his big paw, then the others came rushing at him and he had to fight them off to bring them to order. The wolves were strong, too strong for mere teenagers and he must admit that it was a little hard to deal with them, however, he loved the challenge. He has never been able to meet his match in any other packs and now, seeing the teenagers keeping up to him made him unleash all his strength. As much as he was enjoying the fight, he couldn’t lose to them.
With a loud growl, he bit onto the neck of the alpha wolf, his eyes glowed redder as he tasted the blood in his mouth. He had won the fight, however, with the taste of the blood in his mouth, he felt the power inside him that has been dormant for days reacting suddenly. He growled and flung the wolf away, his red eyes turning slightly black and right then, his warriors met up with him. Seeing him reacting strangely shocked them and the wounded wolves used the opportunity to run away. Asher growled and placed his big head on the ground, his eyes pitch black now as he fought for control.
‘Prince Asher, are you okay?’ One of the warriors asked when they couldn’t take it anymore as two of their people decided to chase the wolves but they knew they wouldn’t catch up, those wolves were slightly too fast on their paws.
The pain Asher was going through forced him to shift back and he watched as black lines started covering his arm and traveling really fast. He threw his head back and screamed into the silent night. A cloud of smoke suddenly appeared and a man was holding Asher in his arms. Seeing who, all the wolves present quickly shifted back into human and bowed in respect,
“greetings, your Majesty.”
Edward stared at his son who was clearly in pain and his red eyes looked up at the warriors naked in front of him. “What happened to him?” his voice was calm compared to the obvious storm they could see in his eyes.
“We don’t really know my King.” A boy answered, “the unknown wolves had showed up and we were chasing them but they were so fast that only the prince could keep up with them. When we arrived, the wolves were wounded but my prince was already wailing in pain. We can’t say if they did anything to him because they clearly looked like they had lost in a battle with him.”
Edward sighed and without another word, disappeared from the spot, along with Asher. The warriors glanced at each other and seemed to come to the same agreement as they shifted back into their wolves and ran home, meeting with the other two wolves on the way and filling them in.

Meanwhile, in the party, just as Asher had left, Justin was glad that he was finally alone with Naomi again only for Asher’s sister, Anita to suddenly find them. He can’t help but feel like Asher had sent her but if he did, then where could he have gone to? He clearly looked like he had wanted to take Naomi away but all of a second, changed his mind.
“Why stay outside when we can have fun inside?” Anita said and quickly grabbed Naomi’s hand, pulling her inside without waiting to hear her choice. Justin wanted to get angry but he could tell that Naomi didn’t mind and so he could only follow them inside. When they were inside, Anita directly pulled Naomi to the dance floor. He wanted to follow but he knew he would be a third wheel among them and so he hung around, deciding to look around and also get a drink for himself. He went back to the kitchen to see that the three people inside the kitchen were staring at each other but there weren’t actually talking. “Um, can I get a drink, please?” he asked but none of them moved. The music wasn’t so loud in the kitchen so obviously, they could hear him but why does it feel like they couldn’t?
He approached one of them, a tall muscular boy, just like Asher and tapped the boy but only for the boy to turn at an inhuman speed and pin him against the wall so fast. Justin was too shocked at what happened and how quickly they were at the wall to even plead for his life. Anita entered the kitchen, “stop it Micah,” she said and the boy let go of him.
“What the hell,” Justin said then, coughing a little and he touched his neck, “I only just wanted a drink.”
“You could have taken it without tapping us,” one of the boys in the room said.
Micah turned to Anita and mind linked, ¬‘the warriors lost the wolves but the prince is still on their tail. They are hoping to catch up.’
Anita nodded at that information and turned to Justin, “why didn’t you just take a drink?”
“I thought they were serving,” he answered innocently but glared at Micah, the one who had almost killed him.
“Serve you? In your dreams,” Micah rolled his eyes.
“Anita, there is someone looking for you,” Naomi said, stepping into the kitchen, however, she froze right at that moment and then she saw it in her mind. The big silver wolf in pain in the woods. “No,” she screamed and the vision left immediately. She glanced at the shocked people staring at her as her eyes watered over. “I’m sorry Anita, but I have to go,” and she turned and left immediately, praying in her heart that her friend should be okay.
“What’s with her?” Micah asked.
“Fuck,” Justin said and followed Naomi out.
Anita wanted to follow as well, after all, Asher told her to never let her out of her sight. However, she was just at the door when she heard Micah’s gasp and turned sharply to him, asking what happened with her eyes. “The prince is in pain and the King showed up and took him away.”
“Fuck,” Anita said and ran out of the house, Naomi at the back of her mind as she quickly shifted and ran to the woods, followed by her brother and his Beta and Delta.
