(Contains: Minho spanking Hyunjin.)
○Memory of October 2011○
Minho was exhausted.
It was 10:00 PM, and he had gotten so frustrated with trying to get Hyunjin and Jeongin to sleep, that he made them both stand in the corner until they exhausted themselves. They finally laid down around 11:00...
And after they were asleep, Minho put all their bags together by the door. Then he took everything that was left in the fridge (which wasn't much) and started throwing it out.
He went outside to take out the trash, and he stopped for a minute to look at the stars. This was the last time he would see this view. This was the last time he would be "home."
He came back inside and triple checked that everything they needed during the flight was in his backpack.
He made sure Jeongin's toys were in his bag too.The social worked had helped them know what to pack, and she came yesterday to make sure everything was ready for the flight. She had their passports, but once they got to the airport, Minho would have to keep them, so he made sure there was a space for them in the front pocket.
He took one last look at their empty apartment, and then he settled down on the floor beside Jeongin. Thankfully it was warmer than the past few days, because his brothers were hogging the top blanket. He looked at his phone. 1:07 AM.
Minho woke up to the vibration of his phone underneath his arm.
He sat up feeling groggy. He dreaded today with every fiber of his being.
It was 3:00 AM.
They needed to be at the airport in 45 minutes.
Minho woke Changbin up. "Bin. Wake up." He said gently. "It's time to go. Say goodbye to everything."
Changbin stretched his arms up and yawned. He rolled over and slowly pushed himself up.
He looked around sadly, before making his way outside to "say goodbye" to his home.
Did they really have to do this? Was this really the best thing to do?
He came back inside and made his way to the bathroom, where Minho was brushing his teeth.
"Hyung, are you sure there's no way we can stay here?" He asked with tears threatening to fall.
Minho spat in the sink. "You're asking that NOW, of all times?"
"Well, it just feels really real now, and I really don't want this to be the last time to come back, and so maybe we can jus-" Changbin began rambling.
"Bin, would you rather stay in Korea but get separated and put into foster care or a facility, and probably never see your brothers again, or stay together, but have to live in Canada, and probably never see your "home" again?" Minho asked with frustration.
"Well, I DO want to stay together, but are you sure this is the only way?!" Changbin whined.
Minho looked at Changbin with sincerity.
"Do you trust me?""Well..." Changbin said, searching Minho's eyes. "Yes."
"Then believe me. This is the only way. I'm sure." Minho said.
Changbin turned and walked away quickly, before the tears actually began falling. He distracted himself by getting ready.
Minho went over to Hyunjin and gently shook him awake. He told him it was time to go now, but of course, Hyunjin refused.
