March 2023
It was a cool spring day. The snow had almost completely melted.
Seungmin, Felix and Jisung were walking home from school.
Suddenly Seungmin's feet flew right out from under him, and he was laying belly up like a squished bug on the icy concrete.
Jisung and Felix burst out laughing as if it was the funniest thing they had ever seen.
Finally they reached down to pull him up.
Seungmin was now in a foul mood for the rest of the day. He was butt-hurt. Quite literally.
He got in the house and immediately laid down on the couch while the other boys went to do their homework like they were supposed to.
Amelia came home from work at 4:00...
She said hello to all the boys as she walked into the kitchen.
"Moooom, I don't understand this question!" Byron said with frustration.
Amelia stood over his shoulder to help him.
Afterward she stood up straight.
"Did Seungmin already finish?" She asked.
"He hasn't even started." Jeongin replied.
Amelia furrowed her brows and went to find Seungmin.
Somehow she hadn't seen that he was laying right there on the couch, and she had walked by him when she came in.
She went over and sat down on the edge of the couch. "What's wrong, sweetie?"
"Nothing." Seungmin mumbled.
"Did you have a bad day?" She asked softly.
Seungmin nodded.
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"No." Seungmin said quietly.
She thought for a moment.
"I was going to make cookies. Would you like cookies?" She asked.
Seungmin smiled. Who doesn't like cookies?
He nodded.
"Okay. Are you sure you don't want to talk?" She asked again.
Seungmin shrugged.
"Well, was what happened a big thing, or just something that made you upset?" She asked.
