*************

I woke up to the harsh light of morning slicing through my curtains, my head pounding like a drum.

Groaning, I tried to sit up but the room spun around me. My door was wide open, and I turned my head to see a glass of water and some Advil.

I'm guessing it was my mum who put it there, and I was thankful.

Just then mum walked in, "Morning, sweetheart," she said, her tone both comforting and slightly annoying. "Take the Advil, you'll feel better."

"Thanks, Mum," I mumbled, as I took the pills.

I sat there, wondering what the fuck had happened last night.

I had no memory of coming home, neither do I remember what happened after Jaxon came into the party.

I looked up at my mum who stood by my bedside table, "Mum how did I get home?" I ask her in a worried tone.

I'd rather ask my mum then not know at all, and have had something bad happen to me.

My mum gave me that smile. "One of your friends."

"Did you see who?" I asked, suspicious why she wouldn't tell me who.

"Nope, they were sitting in the car." she smiled, way to sweet.

All of them had gotten drunk, so who the fuck drove me home?

"Why? Is something wrong?" she asks, still giving me a warm look.

"No, no, I was just wondering." I reassure her.

She runs her fingers through my hair, "Well, I hope you stayed safe last night, and had fun."

"I did." I smile back at her, at that she leaves my room.

I tried to think what had happened, who dropped me home and everything else.

I had blurry memories of getting taken to the car... hold on.

I remember getting carried to the car.

CARRIED???

Then flashes of last night began to flicker in my mind.

Suddenly I felt like I was going to throw up.

I remembered dancing with West, his hands on my hips, the dancing, the teasing, flirting.

Fuck.

My.

Life.

All the shit that went down.

My stomach twisted as I remembered it all.

Had I really just stood there, lost in my own head while everything around me was chaos?

The memories rushed back, each one sharper than the last.

I buried my face in my pillow.

Mortified.

What had I gotten myself into?

**********

Monday afternoon...

I rushed out of school, the sky darkening as clouds rolled in.

I had to make it home before rain.

West and I had our study session later, and I this time I was actually quite looking forward to it.

As I rounded the corner of the parking lot, I nearly collided with someone.

A tall, muscular body, at first I thought it was West, or someone from the footie team, then I saw the basketball in his hand.
