Madison's POV:
It was official. I was Kaleb West's girlfriend.
The bad boy of Mount View High, who didn't do relationships. He never stayed, didn't believe in love, and had girls constantly throwing themselves at him.
And yet, here we were.
Me, the girl who swore I wouldn't fall for someone like him. I had my rules: no distractions, no drama. Especially not with someone like West.
But it started with that stupid study session.
His recklessness pulled me in first. I shouldn't have liked it, but I craved it. He made me feel alive again.
I didn't believe in love after Jaxon, but West proved me wrong. He cared in ways I hadn't felt before, protecting me, not caring what anyone thought, just wanting me to be okay.
It wasn't easy. We fought, we cried, we laughed, and we made mistakes.
But we made them together.
I fell for the bad boy. And I didn't care.
Maybe it was always meant to be. He was the guy everyone warned me about, but he saw me, made me feel worth something again.
And now? I was dating the heartbreaker who said he'd never fall in love.

We finished the pasta we made, somehow not burning down the kitchen.
I was curled up against his side. His arm draped lazily around my waist, fingers tracing small circles against my skin.
I felt like I could finally breath, like I could be near him without being paranoid. Because we don't have to act like we don't want this anymore.
I exhaled softly, "I feel safe with you, West."
His grip on me tightened, "You are safe with me, Mads. I promise, always."
I believed him. I didn't just hear the words — I felt them.
"Thank you," I whispered, smiling up at him.
He looked down with soft eyes, "You don't have to thank me for the bare minimum Mads. If I'm doing this, I'm doing it right."
He was ridiculously attractive, and somehow I still can't believe he chose me. I trace my hands up his bicep, and his gaze drops to mine.
And then to my lips.
Before I could say anything he leaned in, catching my lips in a slow, teasing kiss.
He kissed me like he had all the time in the world, his lips moved against mine in a way that made it impossible to think about anything else just him.
I hummed against his mouth, fingers threading through his hair. He let out a low chuckle at my impatience but didn't complain.
Instead, he shifted, hands gripping my waist as he guided me effortlessly into his lap.
"You're getting needy," he teased against my lips.
"Shut up," I muttered, breathless.
His hands slid under my shirt, my arms looped around his neck, and I could feel his smile against my lips before he bit down lightly, making me gasp.
Cocky bastard.
"You're squirming like you want something, Mads. So tell me. What do you want?" he smirked.
