The morning sun beamed through the tent, with a groan as I rubbed my eyes open.
I lifted the tent flap and saw the others already messing around. Typical.
I stepped out, instantly shivering as the cool morning air hit my skin.
"What's the plan today?" I asked, walking over to the group, still sleepy.
Yesterday had been incredible. After the sunset, we returned around 9 PM and sat around the fire until midnight, singing at the top of our lungs and laughing until our sides hurt.
It felt so refreshing—no drama, no stress. I could just be me, surrounded by the people I care about.
"So," Jake said, "Apparently he has an idea." He pointed at Cole.
Cole pointed down the trail with a look. "I say we go check out the creek down that way."
When we'd looked up campsites, this one had a stunning creek, and we were sold the moment we saw the photos.
Ever since we arrived, we'd been itching to check it out but wanted to wait for warmer weather.
Today felt perfect. It was already warm and sunny, just what we needed.
Soon, everyone was on board with the creek idea, I was actually very excited. First, I got to wear my new bikini, and second, I'd get to see West shirtless again.
Okay, maybe that was a bit much, but jokes aside, this was going to be fun.
I headed back into my tent to grab my things: sunscreen, a towel, some thongs, moisturizer, and my bikini—a stunning deep red two-piece that looked absolutely gorgeous.
Instead of packing it away, I slipped it on inside the tent, avoiding the awkwardness of changing outdoors. I layered some shorts over it, paired with a white cardigan.
(Not including a photo, so feel free to imagine it however you like!)
"Ready?" Cole asked, once everyone was ready.
Soon everyone was walking down the trail. It wasn't too far but just enough to feel a bit secluded.
When we finally reached the creek, I was struck by its beauty. It was breath taking. The water sparkled in deep blue tones against the backdrop of towering mountains.
The moment we arrived, the guys wasted no time. Jake ripped off his shirt and jumped headfirst into the water. "Cannonball!" he yelled, causing a huge splash that sent ripples cascading across the creek's surface.
"Dumbass," Cole laughed, but wasted no time in jumping head first after him.
Then my gaze fell on West. He stood a few steps away, pulling his shirt off, showing off the muscular physique.
I couldn't help it, my gaze fell lower, and a hint of a tattoo peeked out just above his waistline—a dark inked spot on his V-line. I furrowed my eyes in confusion at first, wondering how come I've never seen the tattoo before. Then I felt my cheeks heat up because of it, pelvic tattoos were hot y'all.
He turned his head, catching my gaze. His expression shifted, darkening with an intensity that sent a thrill through me. The way he looked at me made my skin tingle, make my heart race.
He was still looking at me, but I felt a sudden urge of boldness.
Without hesitation I slipped off my cardigan, letting it hang off my shoulders, and pulled down my shorts. Leaving me in the deep red bikini.
My gaze caught West's, and my heart raced when he started walking over towards me, smirking.
"Trying to distract me?"
