The sun hung high over the sprawling fields of the farm as Seventeen gathered for their latest "Going Seventeen" episode. Laughter filled the air as they set up their cameras near a rustic barn, ready to take on a series of farm challenges. The team was split into groups, with the usual mix of competitive spirits and light-hearted banter.
"Okay, guys! First up, we have to collect eggs from the chicken coop!" Seungkwan announced, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
As they all sprinted towards the coop, Vernon lagged behind, distracted by a swarm of colorful wildflowers that dotted the path. He admired their beauty, leaning down to snap a quick photo with his phone. Just as he was about to rejoin the others, he caught sight of a glinting object near the edge of the farm.
Curiosity piqued, he wandered off the path toward what turned out to be a bee hive, buzzing with activity. Without realizing it, he had ventured too close. Suddenly, a bee buzzed angrily past his ear, causing him to jump back in surprise.
"Vernon! Watch out!" Joshua shouted from a distance, but it was too late. The bee, agitated and determined, had already launched an attack.
"Ahh! What the-?!" Vernon yelped, flailing his arms as more bees swarmed around him, drawn in by the commotion. Panic set in as he stumbled backward, tripping over a root and landing in a patch of tall grass.
"Get away! I didn't mean to disturb you!" he shouted, trying to swat at the buzzing cloud around him. His teammates froze, eyes wide with disbelief.
"Is he really getting stung?" Dino exclaimed, trying to stifle his laughter while concern flashed across his face.
"Vernon! Run!" Woozi shouted, but Vernon was already covered in small, painful stings. He could feel them prickling his skin like tiny needles, and the situation was growing increasingly chaotic.
The others rushed to help, but the bees seemed to have a vendetta. As they charged towards him, Vernon finally broke free from the grass, bolting towards the barn with his arms flailing like a windmill.
"Guys! I'm going to be a bee's best friend!" he yelled, sprinting past the camera crew as they struggled to keep up with the unexpected turn of events.
"Should we save him or just film this?" Hoshi asked, half-laughing, half-concerned.
"Both!" Seungkwan shouted, grabbing the camera to capture the madness, while the others rushed after their distressed member.
As the sound of buzzing grew louder, Vernon glanced over his shoulder, eyes wide with alarm. The bees were relentless, and he could feel the stings multiplying.
"Help! I'm allergic!" he half-lied, more out of desperation than anything else.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group was a flurry of energy, shouting instructions and trying to strategize on the fly.
"Head for the water! Maybe they'll calm down!" Mingyu suggested, pointing towards a nearby trough.
"Are you sure that's going to work?" DK asked, concern written all over his face.
"Vernon's not stopping to think right now!" Wonwoo exclaimed, already making his way to the water source.
As Vernon darted toward the trough, he could hear the distant sound of laughter mixed with the frantic buzz of bees, feeling both ridiculous and utterly overwhelmed. The scene was chaotic, but one thing was clear-this farm day had taken a turn that none of them had expected.
As Vernon emerged from the trough, the initial shock of the cold water faded, but the reality of the bee stings quickly set in. A wave of dizziness washed over him, and he staggered slightly, trying to regain his balance. The pain from the stings felt more pronounced now, each tiny prick a reminder of his close encounter with the hive.
"Hey, you okay?" Joshua asked, stepping forward with a concerned look.
"I... I think so," Vernon replied, though his voice wavered. He tried to shake off the dizziness, but the world around him seemed to tilt slightly.
"Maybe we should sit down for a bit," DK suggested, noticing the way Vernon swayed. "You look a little pale."
"Yeah, let's get him some ice," Seungkwan added, his previous laughter replaced with genuine concern. "We can't have you passing out on us."
Vernon nodded, but as he moved to follow them, another wave of dizziness hit him. He placed a hand on the barn door for support, taking a deep breath. "I'm fine, really," he insisted, but the way he leaned against the door betrayed him.
"Just sit down, okay?" Jeonghan said gently, guiding him to a nearby hay bale. "You need to take a moment."
As he settled down, he felt the stings beginning to throb in unison, each one a little reminder of the chaos that had just unfolded. The others quickly gathered around, pulling out ice packs from their supplies.
"Here," Woozi said, handing one over. "Put this on your arms and legs. It should help with the pain."
"Thanks," Vernon muttered, pressing the cold pack against the worst of the stings. The relief was immediate, but the dizziness lingered.
"Maybe we should call it a day," Mingyu suggested, glancing at the camera crew who were still filming the scene. "This isn't exactly how we planned the episode."
"No way! We're not stopping!" Seungkwan interjected. "This is gold! Just look at him!"
Vernon let out a small laugh, despite the discomfort. "I didn't exactly plan to become a farm drama queen," he said, rolling his eyes.
"Okay, okay," Jun said, trying to keep the energy light. "How about we do a mini challenge right here? Let's see who can make the best bee-themed dish with whatever we can find in the barn!"
"Are we seriously doing this?" Vernon asked, incredulous but amused.
"Why not? We can call it 'Bee-licious!'" Hoshi chimed in, striking a pose like a game show host.
The idea caught on, and despite Vernon's lingering dizziness, he felt the excitement returning. The other members scattered to gather ingredients, their laughter filling the barn as they rummaged through old crates and barrels.
"Okay, what do we have?" Joshua asked, holding up a jar of honey. "This could work!"
"I'm pretty sure that's bee-approved," Vernon said, chuckling softly. "Just don't make anything that'll come back to haunt me."
As they started mixing and mashing together whatever they could find, the atmosphere became even more cheerful. Each member showed off their creativity, slinging honey and whatever else they could find into makeshift dishes.
Vernon leaned against the hay bale, feeling the happiness lift his spirits despite the discomfort. The pain was still there, but it was overshadowed by the collective energy of his friends.
"Alright, time's up!" Jun announced, glancing at the makeshift clock they had set up. "Let's see what you've all come up with!"
With the competition officially on, Vernon felt a renewed sense of purpose, ready to dive into the fun-even if he was still stinging a bit. Little did they know, this day would end up being one of their most memorable episodes yet, all thanks to an unexpected swarm of bees and a touch of farm chaos.
