The car was now just a few steps away, but Dino could barely hold on. His body trembled violently, his breathing still shallow and desperate as another shot of pain hit him in the abdomen. He screamed again, his voice hoarse with agony, and tears streamed down his face as he held onto his hyungs like they were his lifeline.
"I... c-can't... I... I... d-don't... w-wanna..." Dino stuttered, his words breaking off as the pain became unbearable. His body trembled so violently, it was almost as if he couldn't stop shaking, like his very soul was being torn apart by the agony.
"Shh, Dino, please," Seungcheol whispered, his voice breaking, as he gently pulled the younger into his arms again, trying to keep him stable. "You're doing great, we're almost there. We won't leave you. I won't leave you."
But despite their words of reassurance, Dino's eyes fluttered, his grip on Seungcheol's arm weakening. His body was so weak, so fragile, and with each passing second, it seemed to slip further away from them.
"Hyung... I'm... sorry... p-please..." Dino's voice was fading, slurred and barely audible, as his body slowly gave out beneath him. The pain, the fever, the exhaustion - it was all too much.
"Dino! Stay with me!" Seungcheol shouted, shaking the younger boy gently. His heart was racing, his breath quick and shallow as panic surged within him.
"C'mon, we can't lose him," Jeonghan said, his voice tight with emotion as he helped Seungcheol lift Dino once again, his hands shaking with desperation. "We're almost there... Just a little more."
As the two of them hurried to get Dino into the car, they couldn't help but feel the weight of the situation pressing down on them. Dino was slipping away, and they could only hope it wasn't too late.
As Seungcheol and Jeonghan gently moved Dino into the backseat, Mingyu quickly rushed to help, his hands shaking as he assisted in lifting the frail body into the car. Dino's body was limp and unresponsive, his head lolling to one side, as if he could no longer hold it up on his own. His skin had gone pale, and his breathing was shallow and ragged, every intake of air sounding strained, like he was gasping for life itself.
"Dino... stay with us, okay? We're almost there," Seungcheol whispered, trying to soothe the younger boy, but his words were shaking with fear. He carefully helped him settle in the middle of the backseat, Jeonghan leaning in to support his weak body, while Seungcheol positioned himself on the other side, gently holding Dino's head to keep it from falling.
Hoshi, already at the wheel, was gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles, his eyes darting to the rearview mirror, panic flashing across his face as he saw Dino's condition worsen. His foot pressed harder on the gas pedal, pushing the car to go as fast as safely possible. The other members were silent, some of them unable to hold back their tears, their faces twisted with concern as they watched their youngest struggle.
"Stay with us, Dino..." Jeonghan whispered softly into Dino's ear, his hands shaking as he adjusted the younger's head so it wouldn't droop further. "We're right here, we won't leave you."
Dino's eyes flickered open for a split second, his vision blurry and unfocused. His lips parted, a feeble attempt to speak, but the words came out slurred and broken. "Hyung... h-hurts..." Dino whimpered, his body trembling violently against Jeonghan's side. His grip on Seungcheol tightened for a brief moment, but it was weak, a mere shadow of the usual strength he had.
"I know, Dino... I know..." Seungcheol's voice broke as he stroked Dino's damp hair, his heart heavy with guilt and worry. "Just... hold on. Please, we're getting you help. Just a little longer..."
Dino's eyes fluttered closed again, his head resting weakly against Seungcheol's shoulder. His breathing was becoming more erratic, the fever still raging, making his body burn hotter with every second. His chest rose and fell unevenly, and every breath seemed like a struggle.
