AS SOON AS ELEVEN ENTERED THE HOUSE, it didn't take long for her to be hugged by her friends who hadn't seen each other in a year - because Hopper didn't let it happen. So he knew where she'd been all that time, and no, El wasn't dead like everyone thought. Rory frowned and looked at Hopper in confusion, just like the others.

At least El was safe, even if she looked like she'd just stepped out of a rock band.

"We missed you." Lucas said, still resting his head on her shoulder. Dustin told her something about talking about her almost every day and she was impressed by the fact that he had teeth. Rory frowned with a confused little smile on her lips and looked at Steve for an explanation — who promptly whispered in her ear that apparently Dustin didn't have them before.

"Hey, don't you think it would be a good idea to put that down?" Harrington tilted his head to the side and fixed his bright brown eyes on her.

"These little knives intimidate you, Steve?" Rory teased, lifting her eyes to look at him. They hadn't realized they were so close that their shoulders touched.

"It's not the knives, it's what you can do with them. I've seen you attack very efficiently."

Then she put the knives down on a piece of furniture near her that hadn't been destroyed so she wouldn't look like an aggressive killer.

"El, do you think you've seen this girl before?" Dustin asked in a curious tone, pointing to Rory who was standing across the room from Steve.

Rory pressed her lips together, suddenly feeling tense. But it was obvious that she wouldn't remember, she had been a baby when Rory had run away from the lab. Or kidnapped.

In a serene tone, Eleven slowly shifted her gaze from Dustin to Rory and blinked before answering no in a low, husky tone. No one feigned disappointment because the answer was expected.

Aurora, now with her hands in the pockets of her pants, merely sketched a small smile at the corner of her mouth as she looked at the girl's face, noticing the same features she had seen in the photographs of the documents. She was glad that the girl had managed to escape from that place as well.

"You know, she also has... superpowers like you. I mean, she can't move things with her mind, but she can read memories."

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise and she looked at her from top to bottom, but then her lips curved into a shy little smile.
