"AND FINALLY, YOU SPRAY TWICE ON THIS SIDE AND TWICE ON THE OTHER..." Steve Harrington explained, stretching strands of his voluminous, silky, caramel-colored hair between his fingers as he applied the infamous Farrah Fawcett hairspray to his hair — the icon of his image — while Rory watched the whole process with amusement, sitting cross-legged on the long counter of the bathroom sink.

"Thanks for the tutorial, Steve, I loved it, but I will never put that in my hair." She confessed to laughter. "It leaves an unpleasant smell in the hair."

"Never say never." He played with a sweet smile on his lips and pulled closer his girlfriend by her waist, making her step down from the counter. "And there's no unpleasant smell, it's just intense. But it can all be fixed with a little bit of perfume."

When the boy took his cologne and sprayed it on his neck, it didn't take long for the fresh scent - that brought back Rory's recent and vivid memories- to fill her nostrils.

"Better?" Steve's velvety voice echoed across Rory's face — who responded with a quick kiss as she intertwined her fingers with his.

"Much better." She answered. Steve smiled back, but there was a subtle hint of nervousness on his chin.

"Um... Rory? I know I already warned you that my parents are not exactly the welcoming type, but are you sure you don't wanna change your mind? I apologize in advance if they start being unpleasant-"

"Hey Steve, relax. Seriously, I'm fine. I'm confident in the decision I've made. Unfortunately, I'm used to dealing with snobbish people. Just treat them as regular people. It's not my fault if they are offended by it." A slight smirk appeared on the girl's face. The boy instinctively returned the smile - although he feared a massive argument at dinner - he couldn't help but love his girlfriend's stubborn and determined temper.

"That way I'll be more relaxed, but please stay calm, I know how impetuous you can be when people confront you..." Steve joked as he played with her hair, eliciting a surrendered eye roll from the girl.

"Okay... I'll try." She played back. Rory slid her fingers up the dark green sweater over the boy's stomach as she planted another soft kiss on his lips.

"So how is the wound?" Rory whispered, still close to him, her nose brushing his chin.

"Better than ever." With his chin close to his chest, he gently lifted his sweater, revealing the scar that had been traced under his belly button. Rory instinctively brushed her fingertips along the length of the scar, sending a small shiver down Steve's skin.
