Chapter 4: The Angel’s Union with the Stone
The day of the wedding had finally arrived, and although it was planned as a private event, the grandeur and emotion of the occasion were anything but small. The venue was an elegant private hall, decorated with tasteful simplicity to honor the wishes of Suga, who had insisted on an intimate ceremony. Only the Kim and Jung families were present, creating a close, personal atmosphere.
J-Hope, adorned in a stunning white wedding suit, stood shyly to the side. His beauty was unparalleled, radiating a purity and innocence that left everyone in the room mesmerized. The delicate lace detailing of his suit shimmered in the soft light, highlighting his ethereal features. He looked like an angel descended to Earth, and every person present seemed unable to take their eyes off him. Even Mrs. Kim, known for her dramatic outbursts, was momentarily speechless as she gazed at her soon-to-be son-in-law, eyes welling up with genuine affection.
Suga, or Agust D as he was known to the world, stood at the altar in a sleek black suit that contrasted perfectly with J-Hope’s white. The stark contrast in their appearances symbolized the union of opposites—a stoic and cold man ready to take an innocent, warm-hearted soul as his life partner. Suga's usually cold eyes softened slightly as he watched J-Hope make his way toward him. For the first time in a long while, Suga felt something unfamiliar, something that warmed his cold heart: hope.
As J-Hope stood beside him, his nervousness was evident. He tried not to shake, but his trembling hands gave him away. Suga glanced down, noticing his fiancé's discomfort, and silently vowed to make this easier for him.
The priest began the ceremony, his voice steady and calm as he led them through their vows.
"Do you, J-Hope, take Suga as your life partner?"
"I do," J-Hope whispered, his voice trembling slightly but filled with sincerity.
"And do you, Suga, take J-Hope as your life partner?"
"I do," Suga replied firmly, his deep voice resonating through the hall.
Everything was going smoothly until the priest uttered the next words: "You may now kiss your life partner."
J-Hope froze. His wide eyes darted to Suga, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and he began to sweat. This was something he hadn't prepared for, and the idea of sharing such an intimate moment in front of their families was enough to send his nerves into overdrive. His hands began to shake more noticeably now, his nervousness almost palpable.
Suga, ever observant, noticed J-Hope's discomfort immediately. He turned to face him and, instead of kissing him as expected, gently took J-Hope's hand in his own. He raised the trembling hand to his lips and pressed a soft kiss to the back of it, a tender gesture meant to reassure his new partner. J-Hope blinked, startled by the unexpected but comforting act. He let out a small sigh of relief, grateful that Suga was sensitive to his feelings.
The families clapped softly, smiling at the beautiful moment between the newlyweds. Mrs. Kim’s heart melted on the spot, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"He's perfect!" she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. Without a second thought, she rushed to J-Hope and embraced him tightly, her voice filled with joy. "You are now my son! I’m so happy to have such an angel in my family!"
Mr. Kim, not one to be left out, quickly joined his wife, patting J-Hope gently on the back. "Welcome to the family, my son. And remember, if this idiot ever makes you cry, come straight to me. I’ll pull his ears and set him straight!" he said, shooting a teasing glance at Suga, who merely raised an eyebrow in response.
Mrs. Kim nodded in agreement, still holding J-Hope. "Yes! We’ll make sure he doesn’t trouble you."
J-Hope smiled softly, his heart warming at their acceptance and kindness.
Just then, the chaotic duo of Taehyung and Jungkook approached their new brother-in-law. They both wore mischievous grins, clearly up to something.
"Well, well, well," Taehyung said, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Looks like the stone has married an angel!"
Jungkook nodded, adding with a grin, "God and stone—what a pair! But don’t worry, if you ever need bodyguards, we’re here for you, hobi hyung."
Suga glared at them , though his expression couldn’t hide the amusement in his eyes.
Namjoon was next, stepping forward with a respectful smile. He handed the couple their wedding gift and said, "May God bless you both with a beautiful bond. You two complete each other."
The mood in the hall shifted slightly as the moment came for J-Hope to say goodbye to his parents. His mother and father stepped forward, their faces filled with love and pride. J-Hope, unable to hold back his emotions any longer, threw his arms around them, sobbing quietly into their embrace.
"I’ll miss you so much," J-Hope whispered through his tears.
His mother held him tightly, her own eyes filling with tears as she stroked his hair. "We’ll always be with you, my son. You’re going to a wonderful family, and we know Suga will take care of you."
Even Mrs. Kim, who was known for her dramatics, found herself growing emotional as she watched the heartfelt goodbye. She wiped away a tear that had escaped, feeling a deep sense of gratitude to the Jung family for raising such a beautiful soul.
The families soon prepared to leave for the Kim mansion. Suga and J-Hope traveled in one car, with Taehyung and Jungkook in another, and Mr. and Mrs. Kim in a third. Namjoon, however, had other matters to attend to. A traitor had been found within his organization, and Namjoon had plans for him—a torturous fate that would leave no doubt as to the price of betrayal. The skies darkened as rain began to pour, thunder rumbling ominously. It was as if the heavens themselves were acknowledging the bond of these two opposite souls, marking it with a powerful storm.
As they arrived at the Kim mansion, the family gave J-Hope a grand welcome. The mansion was adorned with flowers and candles, a sight that took J-Hope’s breath away. Mrs. Kim was practically bursting with excitement. "Welcome home, Kim J-Hope!" she announced proudly, her joy lighting up the entire room.
J-Hope, however, was overwhelmed with nerves. The idea of living in a new household with his husband weighed heavily on him. Once they reached their bedroom, he found himself sitting nervously on the bed, anxiously awaiting Suga’s arrival. The room was decorated beautifully, with rose petals and flowers covering every surface, softening the dark and foreboding atmosphere that Suga’s bedroom normally held.
J-Hope loved it instantly. The flowers made the room feel warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the usual coldness of the space. Perhaps, with time, he could bring some light into this room—and into Suga’s life as well.
As he waited, the sound of thunder startled him, causing him to flinch. Despite his love for rain, the sudden noise made his heart race. But then, an idea formed in his mind—a childish, mischievous thought that brought a small smile to his face. It was their first night as a married couple, and maybe, just maybe, he could lighten the mood with a little fun.
What would happen next was yet to be seen, but one thing was for sure: the union of Suga and J-Hope was only the beginning of a unique and beautiful journey.
