Chapter 42: The Plan to Claim Innocence

Weeks had slipped by since the wedding of Jin and Namjoon, but their marriage remained untouched, blissfully innocent. Each day had been a testament to their love, yet the physical intimacy they both craved had yet to blossom. Namjoon, with his innate patience and Jin, with his sweet innocence, had yet to cross that threshold. But today was different; Namjoon was determined to reclaim what was his and deepen their bond in a way they had yet to experience.

The universe seemed to conspire in their favor that day. Yoongi and J-Hope were away on a business trip to Paris, leaving the house quiet and serene. Meanwhile, Tae and Jungkook were busy with Jimin, engrossed in their university project—nothing scandalous, just pure academic work. And as for Mr. and Mrs. Kim, they were off visiting an old friend who had fallen ill. It was the perfect storm of circumstances that left Jin alone at home, oblivious to the romantic plans brewing in Namjoon’s mind.

When Namjoon arrived, he stepped into the dimly lit house, the absence of lights casting a sense of mystery. “Where could he be?” he wondered aloud, a hint of disappointment creeping in. But as he ventured further, his eyes landed on a familiar sight—a sticky note on the dining table, its cheerful handwriting unmistakable.

“Find me if you can!” it read, adorned with a doodle of a smiling sun and “Jin” written playfully at the bottom. A smile broke across Namjoon’s face. “Some things never change, even after marriage,” he mused, amused by his husband’s playful spirit.

However, today, Namjoon had a mission. With a sense of excitement surging through him, he removed his coat and rolled up his sleeves, opening the first three buttons of his shirt to reveal a tantalizing glimpse of his toned torso. He took a moment to compose himself on the couch, allowing the anticipation to build.

“Jin,” he whispered, savoring the thought of their impending reunion.

Following the sweet chime of Jin's bracelet—the one he had gifted him before leaving on his business trip—Namjoon rose from the couch and made his way toward their bedroom. He could hear Jin giggling softly, a sound that tugged at his heartstrings. The moment he entered, he found Jin standing on the balcony, peeking out and attempting to conceal himself, his delicate features lit by the fading sunlight.

“Jin!” Namjoon called softly, a teasing lilt to his voice.

“Shh!” Jin replied, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “You have to find me first!”

Namjoon’s smirk widened, and he stepped closer, determination coursing through him. “Oh, I intend to.”

With graceful stealth, he approached Jin, his heart racing in tandem with the thrill of the chase. As he reached out, he gently grasped Jin’s waist from behind, pulling him closer against his chest. “Got you,” he murmured, his breath hot against Jin’s ear.

Jin gasped, a blend of surprise and delight. “What now?” he asked, his cheeks flushed.

“Now,” Namjoon said, leaning down so his lips brushed against Jin’s ear, “I’m going to show you just how much I adore you.”

He reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind Jin’s ear, the simple touch igniting a fire within them both. “Let me show you what it means to be mine.”
