Chapter 39: Unveiling Jealousy and Power

The university hallways were quieter than usual that day, but Jimin could still feel the eyes on him. He was used to the stares; after all, being loved by Kim Taehyung and Kim Jungkook came with its own set of challenges. Ever since the day they both confessed their love to him, the whispers had become louder, the stares sharper, and today, with Tae and Jungkook away for a football match, Jimin was on his own.

He walked into the campus, his heart steady but his mind alert. Jealousy brewed among both girls and boys alike. They couldn’t comprehend how Jimin, delicate and quiet, could have captured the hearts of two of the university’s most notorious playboys. And not just captured—Taehyung and Jungkook had completely changed. No more flirting, no more casual encounters. From the day they confessed to Jimin, they hadn't given anyone else a second glance.

As Jimin entered the university’s cafeteria, the atmosphere felt heavy. Whispers filled the air, sharp eyes followed him, and before he could settle into his usual corner, a loud splash echoed. Cold water drenched him from head to toe. The cafeteria went silent for a moment, only to erupt into giggles and murmurs.

Jimin stood frozen, his shirt clinging to his skin, his hair dripping. He blinked, his mind racing to comprehend what had just happened. A girl—one of the more popular ones who had always admired Jungkook—stood before him with a smug look on her face, the empty water bottle still in her hand. “What’s wrong, pretty boy? Not used to people putting you in your place?” she sneered.

Before Jimin could react, a voice cut through the tension like a knife.

“What the hell is happening in this university?” It was Jackson.

Jimin's heart leaped in relief as he turned to see Jackson Wang, his imposing figure standing next to the principal, who looked equally shocked.

Jackson stormed over, fury evident on his face. “How can a student be allowed to do something like this? Don’t you have any discipline in this place?” he barked at the principal, who stammered in response, clearly caught off guard.

“I—I’ll take immediate action, Mr. Wang,” the principal managed, his voice shaky. “We’ll suspend her immediately.”

Jackson didn’t wait for the principal to act. He walked over to Jimin, putting a reassuring arm around his shoulder. “Come with me,” he said firmly, guiding him out of the cafeteria.

The girl who had poured the water on Jimin paled as she realized the gravity of her mistake. Not only had she attacked someone precious to Taehyung and Jungkook, but she had also angered Jackson Wang, one of the most influential lawyers in the country, and best friend to Kim Namjoon, the mafia king.

Jackson took Jimin to a nearby mall, buying him a fresh set of clothes. As they walked through the store, Jackson’s expression softened. “You okay, Jimin?” he asked, his voice gentle now.

Jimin nodded, still shaken but grateful for Jackson’s presence. “I’m fine. Thank you for helping me.”

Jackson sighed. “You didn’t deserve that, you know. And trust me, when Tae and Jungkook find out, things are going to get ugly.”

Jimin winced at the thought. He knew how fiercely protective they were, especially when it came to him. “Let’s not tell them right away. I don’t want them to worry before their match.”

Jackson gave him a knowing look but didn’t argue. Instead, he asked, “Do you want to meet the rest of the Kim family? I was headed there anyway, and I know Mrs. Kim would love to meet you.”

Jimin smiled. He had heard endless stories about Mrs. Kim’s dramatic and lovable nature from Taehyung and Jungkook. “Sure,” he agreed.

At the Kim mansion, Mrs. Kim greeted Jimin with her usual exuberance. “Oh my! You’re even more handsome than my boys said!” she exclaimed, pulling Jimin into a tight hug. “And don’t worry, darling, you’re already part of this family.”

Jimin blushed as J-Hope joined them, his sunny smile putting Jimin at ease. “We’ve heard so much about you,” J-Hope said. “It’s good to finally meet the person who’s captured both Tae’s and Kookie’s hearts.”

As they sat together, laughing and chatting, Jimin felt a sense of warmth and belonging. The Kims were already treating him like family, and he couldn’t help but feel at home in their presence. Mrs. Kim even teased him about his future with her sons, making him laugh.

“You’re perfect for them,” she said with a smile. “We’ve already spoken to your parents, and we’re just waiting for you all to finish graduation. Then we can plan the weddings!”

Jimin’s heart swelled with emotion. The acceptance and love from Taehyung’s and Jungkook’s family made everything feel real.

Meanwhile, Jackson arrived at Namjoon’s office. Namjoon was in a meeting, discussing their new robotic technology project. But when Jackson barged into the meeting room, Namjoon immediately knew something serious had happened. Jackson was rarely this angry.

Namjoon dismissed his team, his sharp eyes focused on his best friend. “What’s going on?” he asked, his voice calm but laced with concern.

Jackson didn’t waste time. “Some girl at the university poured water on Jimin, right in front of everyone. No one did anything until I walked in and saw it myself.”

Namjoon’s expression darkened. “They touched Jimin?” His voice was icy, and the air in the room seemed to chill.

Jackson nodded. “The principal suspended her, but you know Tae and Jungkook are going to go ballistic when they hear about this.”

Namjoon leaned back in his chair, his mind already working. He had a flight to America soon, but he wouldn’t leave until this was handled. “I’ll take care of it,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “And trust me, no one will dare lay a finger on Jimin again, afteall he is future son in law of our family.”

Jackson smirked, knowing that when Namjoon got involved, things would be settled swiftly. “Good. I’m counting on you.”

As Namjoon made his plans, the storm brewing from Taehyung’s and Jungkook’s return would be inevitable.
