Chapter 19: The Great MisunderstandingJimin sat at his desk, the afternoon sun pouring in through the classroom windows, casting a warm glow over the room. He was diligently taking notes, trying to focus on the professor’s lecture, but his mind kept drifting back to that fateful night. Every time he remembered calling Taehyung and Jungkook his husbands and himself their wife, a flush of embarrassment crept up his cheeks. The thought made him squirm in his seat, feeling the weight of their shared history pressing down on him.
In the back of the classroom, Taehyung and Jungkook were up to their usual mischief. They had arrived late, whispering and giggling as they made their way in. Jimin shot them a warning glance, silently pleading them to behave. However, the duo was not one to be tamed.
In next lecture.....
The classroom door burst open, and in they came, looking wildly dramatic.
“Sir, may I come in?” Jungkook shouted, his voice echoing through the room.
“Sir, very urgent! Sir, very urgent!” Taehyung chimed in, his eyes wide with feigned seriousness.
The professor, momentarily taken aback, frowned at their intrusion. “What happened?” he asked, clearly annoyed yet intrigued by their antics.
“Sir, please come outside! We have to tell you something!” Jungkook insisted, his expression grave.
Jimin’s heart sank, sensing trouble. He knew this wasn’t going to end well.
The professor glanced between the two troublemakers and Jimin, who was shaking his head subtly, but it was too late. The professor stepped outside with them, curiosity piqued.
“Sir, right now in the café beside our college, we saw your wife kissing another man!” Taehyung exclaimed dramatically, his hand on his forehead as if he were witnessing a tragedy.
“Sir, we are really sorry! We never knew that something like this could happen to such an intelligent person!” Jungkook added, clearly enjoying the chaos they were causing.
Jimin’s eyes widened in shock. What are they doing? He thought.
Meanwhile, the author of this story—who was quietly observing the unfolding madness—was standing at the side, utterly flabbergasted. This was not in the script! she thought, bewildered. Who the hell is controlling my story?
Ignoring the author’s silent cries for order, the professor bolted out of the classroom, leaving Jimin feeling a mix of amusement and horror at his friends’ antics.
“Did they really just say that?” Jimin muttered to himself, trying to suppress a laugh while also feeling guilty for the professor.
Outside, the professor rushed toward the café, his mind racing with disbelief. He arrived to find his sister sharing a kiss with her husband. Confusion washed over him, and suddenly, it clicked. “Oh, shit! I’m not married! Why did I run out here?” He stood frozen, feeling utterly ridiculous as the truth dawned on him.
Meanwhile, Taehyung and Jungkook were doubled over with laughter. They had successfully tricked the professor into thinking he was married, and he had fallen for it spectacularly.
Back in the classroom, Jimin was doing his best to focus on the lecture again when the professor re-entered, looking flustered. “You two! What in the world did you say to me?” he demanded, pointing an accusing finger at Taehyung and Jungkook.
The two exchanged glances, stifling their laughter. “Sir, listen to us! This is not our mistake! One day, when you were with that lady, she looked like a beautiful pair with you. We thought she might be your wife, and we thought it was our responsibility to inform you,” Taehyung explained, his voice a perfect mix of innocence and mischief.
“Right,” the professor replied, completely done with their antics. “You’re getting a punishment next time. This time, I’ll let you go because you’re 50% at fault.”
Jimin stood nearby, shaking his head in disbelief. What just happened? he thought. His friends were incorrigible, and now they were in trouble because of their elaborate prank.
After some time....
As Taehyung and Jungkook exited the principal’s office, they spotted Jimin waiting for them, arms crossed and eyebrows raised in disapproval.
“Oh, our mochi is angry with us!” Taehyung teased, winking at Jimin.
Jimin glared at them, a mix of irritation and amusement dancing in his eyes. “You two are unbelievable. What were you thinking?” he scolded, although he couldn’t suppress a small smile.
“Relax, Jimin! It was just a little fun!” Jungkook said, grinning widely. “Plus, did you see the look on the professor’s face? Priceless!”
Suddenly, the professor appeared behind them, still flustered. “I heard that! Don’t think you’re off the hook just yet!”
The trio exchanged nervous glances as they slowly walked back to class, with Jimin shaking his head at the shenanigans that seemed to follow Taehyung and Jungkook everywhere.
As they settled back into their seats, Jimin muttered under his breath, “I really need to start studying for my exams, but with these two around, it’s impossible.”
Taehyung leaned over and nudged him playfully. “Oh come on, Jimin! Live a little! You can study later. Right now, you need to help us plan our next great adventure!”
“Just shut up and leave me alone,” Jimin retorted, though he knew deep down that he wouldn’t trade their friendship for anything in the world.
And with that, the day continued, filled with laughter and chaos, leaving Jimin to wonder what the next adventure with Taehyung and Jungkook would bring.
