Six months had passed since the release of her EP, and Georgie's life had become a whirlwind. She had barely had a moment to breathe, let alone process everything that had happened. Every day seemed to blur into the next—gigs, interviews, photoshoots, studio sessions.

Her calendar was packed, with gigs booked almost every weekend, and if she wasn't on stage, she was working on new music, making appearances, or creating content for her social media.

Georgie sat in the backseat of a black SUV, staring out the window as the city skyline passed by. She was on her way to another meeting with the label, and as much as she loved the fast-paced nature of her career, she couldn't deny that it was starting to wear on her.

Her phone buzzed in her hand, the screen lighting up with notifications—new comments, messages, and mentions. Social media had become a full-time job in itself, one she couldn't afford to ignore if she wanted to stay relevant.

She swiped through Instagram, where her followers had now surpassed one million. It was surreal. Six months ago, she had been celebrating the release of her first EP, and now, she was one of the most sought-after artists in the country music scene. Her rise had been meteoric, and while she was grateful for every opportunity that came her way, it was hard not to feel overwhelmed at times.

Her manager, Lisa, sat next to her, typing away on her phone. "You've got a meeting with the label to discuss your next single," Lisa said, glancing up. "They want to start planning the rollout for a new track and talk about the album."

Georgie nodded, though her mind felt scattered. An album. That was the next big step, and while she was excited to start working on it, part of her felt like she hadn't even had time to breathe since the EP release. Between the constant touring and the pressure to keep up appearances, it felt like she was always moving from one thing to the next without a break.

"They're really pushing for that album, huh?" Georgie said, her voice tinged with exhaustion.

Lisa smiled sympathetically. "You're the hottest artist in town right now. They want to capitalize on that momentum."

Georgie leaned back in her seat, running a hand through her hair. "I get that. I just feel like I haven't had a chance to think about what I want for the album. It's been non-stop."

"Take it one step at a time," Lisa said, her tone reassuring. "The label's going to give you some breathing room, but they also want to keep the ball rolling. You've got a lot of people looking at you now."

Georgie nodded, knowing Lisa was right. The pressure was real, but so were the opportunities. She had been catapulted into the spotlight, and now that she was here, she had to stay on top of things if she wanted to keep her career moving forward. It wasn't just about making good music—it was about staying relevant, staying present, and making sure her fans were engaged every step of the way.

The meeting at the label was all business. The executives had plans laid out for her next single, complete with marketing strategies, potential collaborators, and ideas for how to build even more buzz around her upcoming album. Georgie sat at the conference table, nodding along as they talked about deadlines and promotional campaigns.

Pete was there too, offering his thoughts on the creative side of things. "We've got some great songwriters lined up to work with you on the album," he said. "But I know you've got ideas of your own, so we'll make sure you've got time to write."

Morgan, who had been in and out of the studio with her over the past few months, leaned back in his chair, watching Georgie carefully. She could feel his eyes on her, and it was comforting to have him there. Over the months, their friendship had deepened, though they still kept things strictly professional. But there was an unspoken bond between them—a connection that went beyond music.
