Life on the road had a rhythm to it—early mornings, long drives, late nights, and a whirlwind of shows in between. But amid the chaos, Morgan and Georgie found moments of peace together, moments where the noise of the outside world faded, leaving just the two of them and their shared love for music.

They'd always talked about writing more songs together, but between their separate tours and busy schedules, it had been difficult to carve out time. Now, with Morgan traveling alongside Georgie, the opportunity was finally here.

One evening, after soundcheck and a low-key dinner on the bus, Georgie grabbed her guitar and plopped down beside Morgan. "I've had this idea for a song stuck in my head all day," she said, her fingers absentmindedly strumming a few chords. "Want to help me work on it?"

Morgan's eyes lit up, the familiar spark of creativity taking hold. "Hell yeah. Let's see what you've got."

They sat side by side, the low hum of the bus engine serving as a soft backdrop to their creative flow. Georgie started with a simple melody, her voice soft as she hummed a tune she'd been playing around with for days. Morgan listened intently, tapping his fingers against his knee in rhythm with the chords.

"What's the song about?" he asked, his voice quiet as he immersed himself in the moment.

Georgie smiled, glancing over at him. "It's about us. About how everything feels easy and right when we're together—even when things around us get crazy. It's like... you're my calm in the middle of all this chaos."

Morgan chuckled, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "I like that. Let's work with it."

They spent the next hour tossing around ideas, playing with lyrics and melodies, laughing at some of the cornier lines that popped up, but ultimately finding the heart of the song. It was clear from the start that this song was about their journey together—the ups, the downs, and how they always found their way back to each other.

Georgie:
In the middle of the noise, when the world gets too loud,
You're the only thing that keeps me on solid ground.
When the lights are fading, and the stage clears away,
You're my home at the end of the day.

Morgan:
We've been running wild, chasing every dream,
But when I'm with you, it's the simplest thing.
You're the calm in the storm, the hand that I hold,
When everything's spinning, you make me feel whole.

The chorus came naturally, their voices blending seamlessly as they sang together.

Both:
Cause baby, when I'm with you, it all makes sense,
You're the one that I choose, my best defense.
In the middle of the madness, you keep me steady,
With you, I'm home, always ready.

They played through the song over and over, tweaking the lyrics and refining the melody until it felt just right. Each time they sang together, the song felt more complete—like it had been waiting for them to find it all along.

By the time they finished, the sky outside the bus had turned a deep shade of purple, the stars beginning to twinkle in the distance. The exhaustion of the day was starting to catch up with them, but the satisfaction of creating something new together outweighed the fatigue.

"I think we've got something special here," Georgie said softly, setting her guitar aside and leaning back into Morgan's arms.

Morgan nodded, a slow grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, we do. This one feels different—it's real."

Georgie smiled up at him, her heart full. "It's us."

Over the next few days, they continued working on the song whenever they had a spare moment. Backstage before shows, in quiet corners of venues, even in the early hours of the morning when the world was still sleeping. It became their little project, something that connected them even more deeply as they navigated the chaos of tour life.
