The familiar creak of the front porch welcomed Georgie as she stepped out of her truck, the farmhouse looming ahead of her, bathed in the warm glow of the late afternoon sun. It had been months since she and Morgan had been here together, and although the distance between them had grown, the love for this place hadn't faded. This house had been their haven, their shared dream, and now, after all the heartache, it was time to see if they could find their way back to each other.

The studio in the backyard—finished just before Morgan's album release—stood as a testament to what they had built together. It was one of the last projects they had worked on before everything fell apart. Georgie hadn't set foot in it since they completed it, too weighed down by the distance growing between them. But now, she was ready to start again. She wasn't sure if the cracks in their relationship could be fully healed, but she knew one thing: they still loved each other. That was a start.

The door to the farmhouse opened before she had the chance to knock. There stood Morgan, leaning against the frame, his familiar silhouette softened by the vulnerability in his eyes. He looked at her for a moment, as if trying to gauge her mood, his hands resting on either side of the door.

"Hey, G," he said quietly, his voice filled with emotion. He had always called her that, and hearing it again tugged at something deep inside her.

"Hey," she replied, her voice just as soft, but carrying the weight of everything unsaid. She took a small step forward, feeling the tension in her shoulders as she crossed the porch and into his orbit.

The silence stretched between them, heavy with anticipation. Morgan's eyes locked onto hers, the weight of their shared history pressing against them both. Without another word, Morgan moved forward, closing the space between them in two quick strides. His arms wrapped around her in a hug so intense that it seemed to knock the air out of Georgie's lungs. It was the kind of hug that held all the unspoken apologies, the pain of separation, and the hope for reconciliation.

Georgie felt her body relax into him, her arms instinctively winding around his neck as she buried her face against his chest. For a moment, they just stood there, holding each other like they were afraid to let go. It felt like home—like something they had both been missing but didn't know how to ask for.

Morgan's grip on her tightened, his breath shaky as he whispered against her hair, "I've missed you so much, G."

"I missed you too," Georgie whispered back, her voice breaking as she felt the sting of tears welling in her eyes. She hadn't realized how much she had needed this until now. They had spoken on the phone for weeks, trying to mend what had been broken, but nothing had prepared her for the flood of emotions that came with being wrapped up in him again.

She pulled back slightly, just enough to look up at him, and that's when their eyes met—really met. The tension, the longing, the love they had both tried to suppress—it was all there, simmering just beneath the surface.

Morgan cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. He leaned in slowly, his forehead resting against hers. "I'm sorry for everything, G," he murmured, his voice raw with emotion. "I never stopped loving you. I just didn't know how to fix it."

Georgie's heart swelled at his words, and without thinking, she closed the small gap between them. Her lips pressed against his in a kiss that felt like both an apology and a promise. It wasn't rushed or uncertain—it was intense, filled with the passion they had been missing for so long. It reignited something between them, something they had both feared was lost forever.

The kiss deepened as Morgan's hands slid down her back, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them. Georgie felt the spark, the connection they hadn't felt in months, flickering back to life. She could taste the salt of her tears mixing with the sweetness of his kiss, and for the first time in what felt like forever, everything made sense.
