The quiet beep of the hospital machines had become a familiar backdrop to Georgie. She sat at her father's bedside, holding his hand, while the rest of the world seemed to blur in the background. The doctors said Hank was stable, but his recovery would be a long one. Georgie didn't care about anything else right now. She was staying put until she knew her dad was okay.

Morgan had been her rock through it all, coming and going between their farmhouse and the hospital to bring supplies, food, and keep their lives running in the background. He was always there when she needed him, never asking for anything, just offering quiet support when the weight of it all threatened to break her.

But the world outside wasn't so quiet.

It had been days since anyone had seen Georgie outside the hospital, and the media was running wild with speculation. Paparazzi were camped outside the hospital, snapping photos of Morgan every time he came and went, trying to catch a glimpse of Georgie. They had no idea what was really going on. Some outlets were even starting to question if it was Georgie who had fallen ill, and not Hank.

"Georgie Day's Disappearance—Is Something Wrong?"
"Why Hasn't Anyone Seen Georgie Since the Hospital Incident?"
"Morgan Wallen Seen Leaving Hospital: Is It Serious?"

Georgie scrolled through the headlines as she sat in the hospital's waiting room, frustration bubbling under the surface. She hadn't been hiding—she had just been too focused on her dad to deal with the media circus outside. But now, with her face hidden behind hospital walls, rumors were spreading like wildfire.

She sighed and put her phone down as Morgan sat beside her, handing her a cup of coffee. "What's got you so deep in thought?"

Georgie shook her head. "The media. They're going crazy. Some of them are even thinking I'm the one in the hospital."

Morgan frowned. "They'll write anything for clicks. You want me to make a statement?"

Georgie hesitated, unsure of how to handle it. "I don't know. Maybe it's better if we stay quiet. I don't want them to start hounding us even more."

Morgan nodded, understanding. "I'll leave it up to you. Whatever you need."

It had been almost a week since Hank's collapse, and Georgie hadn't left the hospital except to sleep a few hours at home. She'd spent her days by her dad's side, supporting her mom, and making sure her brother had everything he needed as they all took turns keeping Hank company.

But in the midst of it all, Georgie knew there was another looming problem. Her career. The label had been calling, gently reminding her about deadlines, upcoming projects, and commitments. They understood her situation, but there was an unspoken tension in the conversations.

Her manager called again that afternoon. "Georgie, I know you've got a lot going on, but we need to talk about your schedule. The label's wondering if you'll be able to make the studio sessions next week."

Georgie glanced at her dad, who was still resting peacefully in his hospital bed. The idea of leaving him to record music felt impossible right now. "I can't, I'm sorry. My dad's still in the hospital, and I need to be here. Can we push everything back?"

Her manager sighed. "We've already rescheduled a few things. The label's understanding, but they don't want to push too far. I'll do what I can, but you might need to have a conversation with them soon."

Georgie hung up, feeling the weight of it all pressing down on her. She loved her career, but her family came first. Always.

Later that evening, when Morgan arrived back at the hospital, Georgie pulled him aside to talk.
