After the whirlwind of media appearances, livestreams, and studio sessions, Georgie and Morgan decided they needed a break from the chaos. The constant buzz around their relationship had been exciting, but they both knew it was important to carve out time for just the two of them—away from the cameras, away from the questions, and away from the pressures of their careers.
"I have a surprise for you today," Morgan said one morning, leaning casually against the kitchen counter as Georgie made coffee.
Georgie raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Oh yeah? What kind of surprise?"
Morgan grinned, his blue eyes twinkling mischievously. "You'll see. But you need to dress casually—nothing fancy. We're going to have some fun."
Georgie narrowed her eyes, playfully suspicious. "Morgan Wallen, if this involves mud or anything messy, I'm going to need more than just a hint."
He laughed, walking over to wrap his arms around her waist, kissing the top of her head. "Trust me, you'll love it."
An hour later, Georgie was dressed in her favorite pair of jeans, a loose plaid shirt, and her well-worn cowboy boots. She met Morgan outside, where he was already waiting by his truck, the playful look still on his face.
"You ready?" he asked as he opened the passenger door for her.
"I guess I'll have to be," Georgie replied with a grin, climbing in. "But if this turns into some crazy country adventure, I'm holding you responsible."
Morgan smirked. "Wouldn't have it any other way."
They drove out of the city, the Nashville skyline fading into the background as they headed toward the open countryside. The further they went, the more Georgie relaxed. There was something comforting about the familiar landscape—rolling hills, wide-open fields, and the occasional farm dotted along the road.
After about an hour, Morgan pulled off the main highway onto a dirt road that wound through a dense forest. The trees formed a canopy overhead, filtering the sunlight and casting dappled shadows along the path.
"Are you taking me into the woods to leave me here?" Georgie teased, glancing at him.
Morgan chuckled, shaking his head. "No, ma'am. You're about to see something special."
Finally, they arrived at a clearing by a sparkling river. The area was secluded, peaceful, and completely off the grid. A small cabin sat nestled by the water, and there was a picnic table set up near the bank, with blankets and pillows scattered on top.
Georgie's eyes widened as she took in the scene. "Morgan... this is beautiful. How did you find this place?"
"I've had it in my back pocket for a while," he said, parking the truck and hopping out. "Figured today was the perfect day to bring you here. We've both been running nonstop, and I thought we could use a day off—just the two of us."
They spent the afternoon lounging by the river, listening to the sounds of nature as the water rushed over rocks and birds chirped in the trees above. It was a world away from the high-energy life they were used to, and for once, they didn't have to worry about schedules, interviews, or performances.
Morgan pulled out a speaker and played a playlist of their favorite country songs, both old and new. As Somebody Like You by Keith Urban played, he stood up, holding out a hand to Georgie.
"Dance with me?"
Georgie laughed, taking his hand. "Out here in the middle of nowhere?"
"Why not?" he replied, pulling her into his arms. "We've danced in crazier places."
