The day had finally come. Georgie's first single, Mumma I Lied, was officially being released to the world. It was strange to think that a song so personal, one she had never intended to share, was now going to be heard by millions. But she had fought to release this song first. If people were going to understand her story, they needed to hear it from the beginning.

She had insisted to the label that Mumma I Lied should come out before Girl in the Mirror. It wasn't just about telling her story chronologically; it was about showing the vulnerability she felt in that moment. The label had agreed, trusting her instincts, and now the release was just hours away.

Georgie sat in her apartment, scrolling through her phone, seeing the excitement from her fans. There were already countdowns, fan pages buzzing about the song, and comments filled with anticipation.
Just then, her phone buzzed with a message from Morgan.

Morgan: Big day! You nervous?

Georgie smiled, typing a response.

Georgie: Nervous doesn't even begin to cover it.

Morgan's response came almost immediately.

Morgan: You got this. Can't wait to see it climb to the top of the charts.

Georgie appreciated the vote of confidence, but she wasn't thinking about chart success. This release wasn't about fame or numbers. It was about sharing a piece of herself that she had kept hidden for so long.

A few days later, Georgie was sitting with Morgan in a quiet café downtown. They had started hanging out more often, their friendship growing naturally over time. Despite the craziness of their careers, there was something easy about being around Morgan. He didn't expect anything from her. He just... got her.

They were laughing about one of Morgan's tour stories when Georgie's phone buzzed on the table. She glanced at it and saw a text from Paul, the label exec.

Paul: Congrats, Georgie! You did it! #1!

Her heart skipped a beat. She blinked, trying to process the words. Mumma I Lied had charted at Number 1? She stared at the message for a moment, her mouth hanging open in disbelief.

"What's up?" Morgan asked, noticing her reaction.
Georgie turned her phone around to show him the message, her voice barely a whisper. "I... I hit Number 1."

Morgan's face lit up, his grin wide and proud. "That's what I'm talking about! I knew it! Congrats, Georgie, that's huge!"

Georgie was still in shock, her heart racing. She had hoped people would connect with the song, but this? She hadn't expected this. "I can't believe it," she whispered.

Morgan laughed and reached across the table, giving her hand a playful squeeze. "Believe it. You earned this."

For the next few weeks, Georgie watched in awe as Mumma I Lied stayed at Number 1. Fans were responding with messages of support, sharing how much the song resonated with them. It wasn't just about the music—it was about the honesty, the vulnerability she had shared. And that connection was powerful.

Then came the release of her second single, Girl in the Mirror. By now, the buzz around her was even stronger. People had fallen in love with Mumma I Lied, and they were eagerly awaiting her next release.

The night before the single dropped, Georgie found herself feeling that same nervous energy she had felt before the first release. She was pacing around her living room when Morgan called.

"You okay over there?" he asked, his voice light but concerned.

"I think I'm driving myself crazy," Georgie admitted. "This one feels even bigger than the last."
