i hope you are well
since i do not know you
i hope you see my eyes
reflected in the stars,
watching as you walk alone at night
i hope the warmth of my love
lands on your shoulders
when you're bummed
but i hope you're smiling
i'll look for it's reflection in the light
i hope you imagine my hugs
when you shrug into a jacket
and imagine it's arms as mine
as it folds around you
i hope you will know peace
as you stare at sunsets,
kittens and flowers
and i hope you will remember
that i love you, despite everything
