taste of chaos

We already know what chaos feels like

As i hug my chilled bones, at the top of the mountain, the stars spin, as warriors fight to carnage below and you and me just shrug and draw our swords, here we go again

I used to be afraid of my enemies, now i don't really care anymore, i see the door they crane open, a dark eyeball in its crevice, instead of trying to block them, this time i just yawn and crack my knuckles, lets go!

The best defense is offense they say, ill keep my sword drawn, my arm may be sore from fighting, ill slay all my enemies and dream of better days, you and me eye to eye with the promises you whispered in your hands like ice cubes, dripping slowly to nothingness and fading away

(is that all i have to hold onto? damn)

you may offer these to me one day and i may turn away, my interest wanes
