Younha

When I got home from the station, I called Seonghwa and told him I'll be coming in work tomorrow.
He tried to stop me, telling me to rest but I don't feel bad anymore. San loves me, I love him and we'll meet again very soon.
Obviously, I told Hongjoong and him the whole conversation as soon as I arrived at the shop yesterday morning.
Today, I just opened up and they both just came in.

Hongjoong : Good morning, how are you today ?
Younha : Honestly, I'm a bit anxious. The FBI's intervention was yesterday and they are supposed to call me to keep me updated, which means I might see San again soon.
Seonghwa : That's a good news but don't get your hopes to high, as he told you, it will be complicated for him to be proven completely innocent.
Younha : I know but maybe a miracle will happen.
Hongjoong : Let's hope so, I desperately would need him back here. I'm sorry Younha but if this doesn't turn out well, I'm gonna have to hire someone else.
Younha : Of course, I understand and I'm sure he would too.

They both look at me quietly, a small grin on their faces.

Younha : What's going on ?
Seonghwa : It's just nice to see the old Younha again.
Hongjoong : Yeah, we missed her. Not that we don't love the depressed Younha but this one is much nicer.
Younha : Trust me, I like this one better too.
Seonghwa : Just one talk with him and you're back to normal, he really has a lot of power on you.

My phone suddenly rings, interrupting us.

Younha : It's them.
Hongjoong : What are you waiting for, pick up !

Call from Yunho

Younha : Hello ?
Yunho : Hi, it's Yunho. I'm calling about the intervention.
Younha : Of course, how did it go ?
Yunho : Well on a professional perspective, it went good. We caught Hyeonsok and locked him up at the station, we're starting the interrogations this afternoon.
Younha : That's great news, why do you sound so bummed ?
Yunho : Mingi got hurt during the mission, Hyeonsok shot him.
Younha : Is he okay ?
Yunho : I don't know, it looked pretty bad and he spent the night at the hospital, I still haven't heard from him.
Younha : I'm sure he'll be okay, he's strong.
Yunho : Yeah, that's what I'm trying to focus on. Anyway, we need to talk about San.
Younha : What's gonna happen to him ?
Yunho : If Hyeonsok confesses, he'll be free to go but if he doesn't, we'll have to press charges and it will be a much longer procedure.
Younha : You mean completely free ?
Yunho : Yeah, I managed to pull some strings to excuse everything by the threats he says he received.
Younha : You did that ?
Yunho : I owe him that much after my scene from a month ago. I kept on treating him badly even though he wasn't responsible at all for what happened to my family.
Younha : Thank you Yunho, really.
Yunho : Call me if he breaks your heart again, I'll ruin his life.
Younha : I'll keep that in mind.
Yunho : I'll call you again when we finish the interrogations.
Younha : That would be great.
Yunho : See you soon, with good news I hope.

He hangs up.

Hongjoong : They finally arrested him, that's a good start.
Younha : It is but...Nevermind.
Seonghwa : No, tell us.
Younha : They've been chasing him for years and they catch him so easily at such a critical time for him ? I'm probably overthinking it but it seems weird to me.
Hongjoong : Said that way, it is suspicious.
Seonghwa : You said he was dying, maybe he felt like he didn't have much time left.
Younha : From what I know about Hyeonsok, he probably would've spent those last moments anywhere but locked in a cell at the FBI. I'm afraid he might still be after San.
Hongjoong : He got his revenge, why would he still want him ?
Younha : To take over the mafia after he dies.
Seonghwa : So he would've let the FBI catch him to get closer to San ?
Younha : I should call Yunho back.
Hongjoong : Wait for the interrogations to happen, maybe they'll know more than we do.
Younha : Yeah, you're right, I'll wait until I get news from them.

The day went by and I got home from work.
But Yeosang was also home and that was weird, he's supposed to finish work in another hour.

Younha : You're here already ?
Yeosang : Hum, yeah, something came up and we need to talk.
Younha : What's happening ?
Yeosang : It's about dad.
Younha : Oh.

We settle in the living room, sitting on the couch.

Yeosang : He came to my workplace this afternoon.
Younha : What did he want ? And how dare he show up there after what he said last time, what the hell is wrong with him !
Yeosang : I know, that was very shameless. He came to try to convince me once again that you were mentally unstable or something. He wants me to stay away from you instead of him.
Younha : And...What did you say ?
Yeosang : You know damn well that I would never give you up, I believe you.
Younha : But ?
Yeosang : But he's right about one thing, maybe you should see a therapist. Everything you went through since you were a child can be very difficult to process and it might...help you.
Younha : What did you tell dad ?
Yeosang : Nothing about this, I would've never said to his face that he might be right on some stuff. I told him to get out and threatened him to get a restraining order if he ever tried to come back. When my manager saw the situation, je told me to go home early to process.
Younha : So, you also think that I have some mental issues...?
Yeosang : No, absolutely not. But you have nightmares since you were just a kid, you can't even celebrate you're birthday because of mom and so many more things that can be healed. I just want your mental health to be better. And, I'm worried I might lose you someday.
Younha : What do you mean ?
Yeosang : I know you made things better with San but he's still not back and Woo told me we didn't know when he'll be back. I'm afraid that if he goes to prison or something, you might not recover and have...drastic measures, like mom had. I love you too much to lose you like this, and now that dad turned out to be a crazy sociopath, you're the only family I have left, I want to keep you safe.
Younha : Okay, I'll see a therapist.
Yeosang : Really, you caved in so easily ?
Younha : I don't want to make you worry that much so if it's all it takes to reassure you, I'll do it.
Yeosang : Thank you for understanding.
Younha : Thank you for caring.
Yeosang : Of course, you're my little sister, I always promised myself to take care of you no matter the situation.
