CHAPTER 29

San

Mingi : Yunho just called, we have the video, you can go now.
San : Yeah, thank you for everything.
Mingi : Is something wrong ?
San : It's nothing interesting to you, don't worry.
Mingi : Are you scared of going home ?
San : What if he finds us again and hurts someone else ? I mean, he sent my cousin in the hospital !
Mingi : We have people, trustable people, keeping a close eye on Younha and you, don't worry. Everything should be fine so just go home and enjoy seeing your friends again.
San : I will, thanks.

I leave the station and walk all the way to my apartment, well maybe Wooyoung's apartment now.
After half an hour, I get to the building but the first thing I notice is a man standing in front of the entry, wearing a full black suit and a surgical mask to hide his face. Is he from the FBI or is he from the mafia ?
Maybe I shouldn't get closer.
Shit, he saw me and he's coming. He took out a gun, he's not from the FBI, I need to run.

I run away as fast as I can but after a few blocks, he catches up to me in small impass and prevents me from going anywhere.

San : What the fuck do you want ?!

He doesn't answer but I hear some footsteps behind me and as I turn around, I see Hyeonsok coming out of one of the buildings surrounding us.
He puts me against a wall and pushes a tissue smelling strongly like chemicals against my nose, making me lose consciousness in a few seconds.

I manage to open my eyes after what feels like an eternity later. My head aches so bad...

I take a look around, I'm lying on a bed in something that looks like a perfectly normal bedroom, which is everything but normal.
The door is locked, there aren't any windows. Just the bed.
After a few minutes of desperately trying to open the door, Hyeonsok pushes it from outside and gets inside.

Hyeonsok : Touch that door again and I'll make you eat it.
San : Let me go.
Hyeonsok : I finally got my hands on you, don't think you're leaving so easily. You hid well for a year, you gave me a hard time finding you.
San : We had to give up our lives because of you, don't think it was a pleasant thing for us to do.
Hyeonsok : What a nice garden you had.
San : Stop small talking to me, what the fuck do you want now ?!
Hyeonsok : Keep your anger so we can take our revenge on her family.
San : You're not pulling me in your mafia bullshit ! And I know what you've done to the Jeong family.
Hyeonsok : Oh right, you know their stupid son. Yeah, I had fun with them !
San : You're fucking sick and disgusting, how could do this to their daughters ?! What could they possibly have done to deserve this ?
Hyeonsok : They asked for help, I just took what they owed me.
San : Two lives ?!
Hyeonsok : Be glad the son is still alive. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about those losers. You're gonna help me get revenge for mom and dad's death.
San : That's not happening.
Hyeonsok : You're not going to be easy to convince. What do you want, money ?
San : I want you to leave me alone.
Hyeonsok : That's not possible yet, I still need you.
San : Why do you need me that much ?
Hyeonsok : You need to take the head of the mafia.
San : Keep dreaming.
Hyeonsok : It wasn't a question, you're taking a special training, physical but also mental, I'm gonna turn you in a killing machine.
San : I'm not letting you manipulate me.
Hyeonsok : You don't have a choice.
San : I'm not taking your stupid training and I'm not helping you with your revenge, copy that !!
Hyeonsok : What a brat you've became, I bet it's that girlfriend of yours. FYI, she's not approved, you can't go out with her.
San : Don't you dare talk about her.
Hyeonsok : She's really a trigger for you, isn't she. That's good to know then, take the training or she dies.
San : You can't reach her.
Hyeonsok : Oh you think so ? I'll let her live peacefully as long as you're obedient. But if you want me to send someone to her brother's place where she is right now, that can be arranged.

How can he always be one step ahead ?! It's so fucking annoying !

San : How do you even know who killed mom and dad ?!
Hyeonsok : Finally, interesting questions. I was there when it happened in case you forgot,I perfectly know who those assholes were.
San : Why did they kill them ?
Hyeonsok : They wanted to become the biggest gang in Korea.
San : Bullshit, why did they kill them ?!
Hyeonsok : I just told you.
San : They would've killed other members of the family if they really wanted to get rid of us.
Hyeonsok : You're not as naive as I thought.
San : Answer the question.
Hyeonsok : Fine, you see what I did to the Jeong sisters ? Turns I did the same to that gang's daughter and they took their revenge on us.
San : It was your fault, you got them killed ?! And yet you survived, how fucking unfair is that !!
Hyeonsok : I told you to keep your anger for them.
San : You're fucking sick, I'm not helping you !
Hyeonsok : I just told you, you don't have another choice. Help me get rid of them or I'll get rid of your girl.
San : You're a freaking monster, I can't even call you my brother anymore.
Hyeonsok : Thank you for the compliment, you'll shortly be just like me.
San : Hell no, you're not manipulating me !
Hyeonsok : You're cute when you're scared. Am I the one you're afraid of ? You shouldn't be, you're just like me San. We're brothers by blood, we're the same person. Accept it.
San : Shut the fuck up !

He suddenly punches me, throwing me to the ground.

Hyeonsok : Respect your brother.
San : Go to hell.

He kicks me.
My body is still weak because of the chemicals he used earlier so every hit feels double the pain of what it should.

Hyeonsok : I guess we're starting the training right now, first lesson is keeping your mouth shut when I'm here.
