(Atsushi's POV)
Friday 2.00pm

After arriving at the ADA building, Fukuzawa called over Mori. We all sat around the table and started discussing at the enemy at hand.

"This is a complicated case for sure. We have to act soon." Yosano says, playing around with a small scalpel. "What do you think, Ranpo?" Everything turns their head towards him, curious and worried expressions plastered across their faces. Ranpo had his hands behind his head, feet propped up against the table and a lollipop in his mouth.

"Hmm...I don't wanna." Ranpo pouts and turns his head. Fukuzawa let's out a frustrated sigh and everyone looks at him in disbelief. Mori chuckles. I slightly smile at the familiarity of Ranpo-san's immaturity; it's refreshing honestly. Especially after all this stressful shit that's going on.

"Ranpo, I'll give you praise."

The way Ranpo-san opens his eyes, his eyes glowing with want and praise-starved need as he stared at the president for a few seconds before he takes the lollipop out his mouth and thinks for a moment. Dazai-san already proved that he didn't actually have an ability and was just incredulously smart, picking up details that wouldn't even cross a normal persons' mind, finding out a full explanation with less than evidence. Everyone at this table have so many wonderful abilities really, each in their own special ways. Kunikida-san has such a useful ability, his notebook that aids him when in need. Tanizaki with his ability can create false realities and you wouldn't even know it. Yosano and her ability to heal dying people is the only reason we're even still alive— we would've died so many times without her, it's honestly amazing how much trust we always put in her to bring us back to life every time. Kenji-kun has his super strength that just is captivating. Now even Kyouka, her ability sure is scary but so useful.

I'm jealous.

"I guess we'd have to..." Ranpo was speaking, but I blanked out, his words mushing into muffles that echoed around my ear drums. I was gifted with an ability and all I did with it was steal food and manipulated myself into thinking it was after me. I'm so laughable: so pathetic. I could feel my shoulders slump and my head droop slightly.

"Atsushi?" I managed enough strength to look up at him. Akutagawa's concerned look and worried, soft voice roots me again to my reality. I find myself smiling and intertwining my fingers either his under the table— away from the gaze of anyone else in this room. Like our little secret. "Are you okay, Atsushi?"

"Yeah, don't worry, just a little woozy, you know?" I sat up straight and tried to focus on the plans.

P.S. I sincerely apologise if my writing has changed/ gotten worse or whatever because honestly haven't written for so long. And I cannot thank you all enough for all the positive feedback and support!! (It's what fuelled me to write another chapter). I'm not even sure if we're progressing with the story here but the enemies are very weird as I've written them so uh give me some time to figure that out. Thanks for reading <3
