Flashback continues...
Hearing her, Adhitya was utterly shocked. Not knowing how to react, he left the room, slamming the door behind him without even giving a glance at her.
Seeing his reaction, tears flowed continuously from Nithya's eyes. She understood one painful truth: this man would never accept her, even if she sacrificed her own life for him. He hated her to his core.
Even though the baby was not conceived out of love, he should at least accept it as his child—his own blood and flesh.
Adhitya stormed downstairs, and as he came down, his grandmother asked, "Adhitya dear, did Nithya tell you that you're going to be a father? Did you schedule the doctor's appointment?" Without even listening to her words, he left the house.
His grandmother was shocked by his behavior and sensed something was wrong. She had hoped he would change for the sake of the baby, but to her disappointment, his actions proved her wrong.
Adhitya stepped outside, where the driver was ready to start the car. Instead, he told the driver to get out, he would drive himself today. He slid into the driver's seat and sped away.
After reaching a secluded area, he pulled over, banged his fists on the steering wheel in anger, and shouted, "What the hell is happening? Why? Why? Why? I know this isn't my fault, it's all because of that bit*h! She seduced me that day. Otherwise, I would never have even glanced at her. That woman took advantage of my vulnerable state, she made me do it. Now she will regret it. I'll make sure of it."
Flashback over
His thoughts were interrupted by Nithya's movements. He looked at her with an emotionless expression before leaving the room to call the doctor.
Nithya opened her eyes, realizing she was in the hospital. She tried to get up from the bed and saw her husband leaving the room. She couldn't believe her eyes—Adhitya was here with her. Part of her was relieved, but she was also terrified that something was wrong with her or the baby, which was why the doctor had called him. She imagined he had come here halfheartedly.
With a soft knock on the door, the doctor entered the room, followed by her husband. Nithya kept looking at Adhitya's face, but she was interrupted by the doctor's question: "How are you feeling now?" Nithya replied softly, "Better, doctor."
The doctor provided some instructions for both of them and informed them that Nithya could go home. After the doctor left, Adhitya asked her if she was hungry. Nithya was taken aback by the question and shook her head negatively, fearing he would scold her for disrupting his work. To her surprise, he didn't ask her anything further.
He rummaged through her handbag, pulled out an apple, and handed it to her, signaling her to eat. She took the apple from his hand slowly, fidgeting with it. Sensing her hesitation, he said, "Eat," in a stern voice. With just that one word, she began to munch on the apple, taking large bites.
He waited until she finished the apple and then passed her a water bottle. She drank the water and sat quietly, unsure of what to do. Noticing her stillness, he said, "What are you going to do, stay in the hospital forever? Get up, let's go," and walked toward the door without waiting for her.
Nithya grabbed her handbag and followed him, contemplating the journey home. She thought he might hail an auto for her ride, but to her surprise, he walked toward his car and sat in the driver's seat. Unsure whether to sit in the passenger seat or the back, she hesitated. "How long will you take? Get in quickly!" he shouted from the car. Startled by his voice, she hurriedly sat in the passenger seat.
