Adithya left the house after returning from the hospital; everyone in the house knew he wasn't going to the office. He took the car and drove to a calm place, seeking peace. Adithya arrived at a waterfall, far from his home, wanting some alone time to think about what was happening in his life. He felt like disappearing from this whole world, but he couldn't—his duties and responsibilities had increased, especially now that Nithya was pregnant with his child.

Standing at the edge of a rock, Adithya fixed his gaze on the waterfall before him, unaware of the captivating beauty of nature surrounding him. His dark hair moved gently in the breeze, which carried the cool mist from the falls. With each step closer, his focus remained unwavering. As he stared at the waterfall, memories of his past flooded his mind.

He began to reminisce about the moment he first met Nithya. Adithya was just ten years old when his mother-in-law, Sharadha Reddy, visited his grandparent's house for her delivery. Since childhood, he had always adored his aunt Sharadha, who treated him like her own child. Whenever she visited, the house became vibrant and colorful, as if it were a festival. Now, as Shraddha was pregnant, her family took great care of her; she was treated like a queen.

It was the moment Sharadha began to feel labor pains. In their village, she gave birth at home with the help of experienced women and midwives. After what felt like an eternity, everyone in the room screamed, "It's a baby girl!" with joy. Adithya waited outside the room, concerned about his aunt's health. An elderly woman emerged, cradling the newborn, the woman approached Sharadha's mother and handed the baby to her. Everyone admired the little creature's beauty, saying she looked like an angel.

Feeling a pang of jealousy at the attention the baby received, Adithya tried to peek at her. Seeing his struggles, his grandmother asked, "Do you want to hold the baby?" Not knowing how to react, he ran away to his room. Adithya's brother, Prem, stepped forward and took the baby in his arms, filled with happiness. He had always wanted a baby sister, but due to health issues with their mother, his parents had stopped trying after having Adithya. Even during Adithya's birth, he had eagerly wished for a sister and prayed to God for one, only to be disappointed with the arrival of a boy. Now, however, he was happy to have a cousin sister.

News of the baby spread like wildfire through the village, and soon it became the talk of the town that Adithya would marry Nithya when they grew up. Everyone, even his classmates, teased him, saying that his wife had just been born. Listening to their words filled him with anger, which only grew as everyone in the family lavished attention on Nithya like a princess.

Previously, Adithya had eagerly awaited his aunt's visits and cried whenever she left for home, but now he was impatient for her to go; he could hardly stand their presence.

A sudden clap of thunder snapped him back to the present, and the air turned chilly as rain began to pour. He quickly got into his car and drove home, planning to buy the fruits that Nithya was craving. Adithya had made up his mind to take care of Nithya, for the sake of their baby, and drove home with renewed determination.

The next day, Adithya woke up early and completed his morning routine. He went downstairs for breakfast and saw his wife cooking in the kitchen. He sat on the couch next to his grandfather, who was reading the newspaper, while his father watched the news. They began discussing their business affairs, but even though he was present, Adithya's mind was completely occupied with thoughts of Nithya.

After a few minutes, she emerged with coffee for everyone. She placed the tray on the table, serving her grandfather and father-in-law first before approaching Adithya to hand him his cup. Throughout this, Adithya keenly observed her face; she looked tired. For a moment, he felt a surge of resentment toward his mother for making Nithya work, but he couldn't voice his feelings—his mother was also not well enough to handle household chores.

Just then, Adithya's grandmother came out of the pooja room after completing her arthi. She sat on the couch opposite Adithya and asked Nithya for tea. Nithya went back to the kitchen and returned a few minutes later with a cup in her hand, giving it to her grandmother before heading back to set the table for breakfast.

Watching her work tirelessly in the kitchen, Adithya asked his grandmother, "Grandma, why can't we hire a cook for a few months? Nithya is weak, and the doctor has advised her to take rest. Mom's health isn't good either, so why can't we consider it?"

Listening to his words, his grandmother grew angry and said, "Shut up! What are you talking about? How can we let an outsider into our kitchen?".
