Swetha lifted her head and looked at him with sadness in her eyes, knowing that she might not be able to see him often since his schooling was over and he would be going to the city for college. She was scared that he might fall in love with some city girl and cheat on her. Swetha had expressed her fears to him several times. This discussion had been ongoing between them for a few days. He tried to console her and even swore on his parents, but her heart remained uneasy.
"Promise me that you will come and meet me here every day," she asked, looking into his eyes. He nodded, grabbed her hand, placed his over hers, and said, "I promise I'll visit you every day. Now, smile." Swetha smiled at him, and they spent twenty more minutes there before heading home.

Adhitya's late arrival from school was noticed by his parents. When they asked him about it, he said that he was staying with his friends after school to clear up doubts about their studies because of exams. However, they had their suspicions.
Nithya's exam would also be over in a few days. With the school closed for summer vacation, Adhitya couldn't see Swetha every day, so he hoped to catch a glimpse of her by visiting their farm whenever she brought food for her father. The distance between them made him impatient and desperate. He wanted to meet her and spend time together, but his growing irritation at home was becoming noticeable to his family.
One day, while Adhitya was pondering how to meet Swetha, he noticed Nithya watering the plants in the garden. Suddenly, an idea struck him. He wanted to convey a message to Swetha, but sending a letter with someone else was risky, so he decided to enlist Nithya's help. He knew that with a few gentle and affectionate words, he could easily manipulate her, as she yearned for love.
"Nithya, would you like to ride with me on my bicycle? I'll take you to the shop and buy you some chocolates," he asked. Nithya's eyes brightened with happiness. "Really? You'll take me for a ride? Yes, I want to come with you!" she exclaimed.
"Okay then, wait here, I'll be back in a few minutes," he replied, heading to his room. Once inside, he took out a piece of paper and a pen, writing, "I miss you, Swetha. I can't stand this distance anymore. I want to meet you. Come to the riverbank tomorrow morning at 5:30. I'll be waiting for you. Please come. Bye, Swetha baby!" He folded the paper and tucked it into his pants pocket.
Nithya was waiting for him excitedly when he came down. He made her sit in the cycle carrier and began pedaling. Nithya enjoyed the ride, sitting behind Adhitya and holding onto his shirt for balance.
As they reached the corner of Swetha's street, he stopped the cycle behind a banyan tree and asked Nithya to get down. Confused by his request, she stepped off the cycle and looked at him. Adhitya took the letter from his pocket and handed it to her. "Nithya, take this letter. You know Swetha akka from our school, right? She lives in that third house on the right. Go and give this letter only to her. Don't give it to anyone else, okay?"
Shocked by his request, Nithya asked, "Why can't you give it to her yourself?" Adhitya felt a flash of anger but controlled it, knowing that losing his temper could ruin his plan. "Nithya, listen to me. You're a good girl, right? Won't you help me?"
"No, if grandma finds out, she will scold me. Please take me back home," she pleaded.
"How will grandma know until someone tells her? You're not going to tell her, are you? Now go, quickly give this letter to her and come back fast," he said patiently, though he was irritated by her hesitation. He had planned this carefully, knowing that Swetha's parents wouldn't be home at this time.
Nithya turned around, unsure how to refuse him, and took slow steps toward Swetha's house. She felt scared, worrying about what would happen if someone saw her there and what she would say. If she revealed the truth, Adhitya would surely be furious.
As she walked toward Swetha's house, she heard a voice. "What are you doing here, Nithya?" She turned her head to see who it was...
