Sri and Diya came to visit Nithya since it was a long weekend for Diya. As soon as she got out of the car, Diya ran to Anith, who was playing with his pull-and-push toy. Anith smiled in happiness at her arrival. Nithya welcomed Sri and Diya, and they settled on the couch together. Sri handed over the toys and clothes that Adhitya had bought for them, presenting them as if she had bought them herself. The two enjoyed tea while chatting about various topics.
Just then, Gangamma arrived to check on Nithya and Anith. Seeing Sri there, she welcomed them warmly and exchanged pleasantries. After tea, Sri mentioned she was heading to her in-laws' house and asked Nithya if she wanted to join. Nithya declined, saying she had some work to do. However, Sri requested if she could take Anith with her, and since Diya was also not ready to leave him, Nithya agreed.
Upon entering her in-laws' house with the children, both Adhitya's grandmother and mother greeted them excitedly, hugging the kids. Sri spent some time with them and helped her mother-in-law with cooking before leaving for Nithya's house with the children. Adhitya's grandmother asked Sri to leave the kids there, but since Anith was small and wouldn't sleep without his mother, she decided to take them along.
Back at Nithya's house, Sri and Nithya were in the kitchen preparing dinner, while Diya and Anith watching cartoons on TV in the bedroom. Meanwhile, Adhitya was scrolling through Nithya's videos and comments. One comment, in particular, made him furious, "Hey, beautiful, your husband must be lucky!" His fists clenched in anger. Nithya often received flirty messages but never encouraged such attention, she ignored them as advised by Sri. Sri had explained that these comments were common on social media and advised Nithya not to respond impulsively, as it could lead to trouble. Nithya was mentally prepared to handle these situations maturely.
Every time Adhitya encountered such comments, he felt restless and possessive. If the commenter were in front of him, he would have knocked his teeth out. But aside from worrying, he felt helpless.
He picked up his phone to call Sri, eager to know about his wife and son. Selecting her contact, he clicked the button for a video call, unaware that Sri was at Nithya's house. He usually avoided calling her when she was with Nithya, as she would likely reject his call.
After a few rings, Diya answered, having picked up Sri's phone from the bedroom. Adhitya smiled at her and asked, "Hey, Diya baby, what are you doing on Mommy's phone?" Just as she was about to respond, Anith playfully tugged at her hand to see the screen. Adhitya was shocked to see his son, tears welled in his eyes. "Look, Anith, it's Daddy! Say hi to Daddy!" Diya encouraged.
Diya understood that Adhitya was Anith's father. When she once asked her parents, "Mommy, I have you and Daddy, but why does Anith only have Nithya Aunty?" she was too young when Adhitya left for London. Sri had patiently explained, "See, Diya baby, Adhitya Uncle is Anith's father, but he is far away for some reasons. So don't mention him in front of Anith or Nithya, it might make them sad, okay?" Diya nodded in understanding and never spoke of him again. Diya regularly talks to Adhitya on video call.
As Anith looked at the screen, he babbled, "Dada, dada," in a baby voice. Adhitya's heart skipped a beat with happiness, he had longed for this moment. It felt like the greatest gift he had ever received. He swallowed his tears, ready to ask something, when Sri called out, "Diya baby, bring Anith to the hall. We'll feed him now, it's getting late!" Startled, Adhitya cut the call, realizing they were at Nithya's house. He flopped onto his bed, smiling to himself like a madman. Grabbing a scrapbook filled with pictures of Anith from his birth until now, he flipped through the pages, smiling at the memories.
Turning to a recent photo of Nithya holding their son from his second birthday, he marveled at how beautiful she looked, even after gaining some weight, it only enhanced her beauty. She had transformed into a woman, no longer the teenage girl he had married. A bittersweet smile crossed his face as he gazed at the photo, realizing how he had ruined their lives with his own decisions.
Back at Nithya's house, Sri tried to feed Anith, but he refused to eat and threw tantrums. During the day, he would play happily with anyone, but for food and bedtime, he was always clingy to his mother. Frustrated, Sri handed him back to Nithya, saying, "Go on, be clingy with your mother. Come to me tomorrow, and I'll make your butt red!" Nithya laughed and began to feed Anith, who surprisingly started eating without fuss.
After dinner, everyone went to the bedroom to sleep. Sri and Nithya lay on either side, with Diya and Anith in the center. They chatted for a while before drifting off. Nithya felt happy spending time with them, but deep down, she sensed an emptiness she couldn't share with anyone.
The next day, early in the morning, Nithya and Sri took a walk in the garden while Diya and Anith slept peacefully. Nithya, who also shared gardening tips online, had become quite skilled in gardening, thanks to Gangamma and Gopaiyya's guidance. As they admired the flowers, Prem called Sri. While she was on the phone, Gangamma brought milk and cooking essentials.
Nithya entered the kitchen, prepared tea for Sri, Gangamma, and herself, and brought out the tray. Sri was still on the call. As Nithya sipped her tea, she wondered what recipe to shoot that day. After some thought, she decided to make boondi mithai, an Andhra special that Anith loved and was also Adhitya's favorite. Remembering how often she used to make it for Adhitya when she was in her in-laws' house, even though it was a process to make, a bittersweet smile to her face.
