'AHHHHHH! It's Nathan Sykes!' One of the girls in the ballet class had to be a fan, didn't they? And they just had to shout it out as well, didn't they? Of course.
'Well, they apparently know you.' Sarah mumbled.
'Why wouldn't they?' Nathan replied with a cheeky glint in his green eyes.
Sarah laughed and let go of his hand before walking over to the bench to slip on her soft ballet shoes - she only wore her point shoes for special occasions. The girls in her ballet class, with whom she was very well acquainted, seemed to notice that they had been holding hands, and some had a confused look on their faces, with Sarah never having had a boyfriend before, and no one really stayed to watch these days. Sarah walked over to join Laura, one of her close friends from school, who was also great at dancing. She had hung back, wanting to give Nathan some space, from the nine girls who had approached him. She knew about The Wanted, but didn't really listen to their music, so wasn't a fan like the other girls in the class seemed to be.
Sarah glanced over at Nathan, and saw that the girls had managed to find some paper from somewhere in the room, most likely the small table their teacher, Miss Steedman, kept her things on, along with her glass of water, and were getting him to sign autographs for them. He looked up in between signing, and Sarah sent him an apologetic look. Nathan smiled - he didn't mind signing a few autographs for some fans, or people who vaguely knew who he was - it might get then more popularity anyway, and besides, there were only nine of them.
'So, that's the Nathan Sykes you've been talking about.' Laura spoke. It was more of a statement than a question, but Sarah answered anyway.
'Yep.'
'And what's he doing here with you?'
'Err, well, you know I won that competition, well I got to meet him and the boys, and we got on really well, so we decided to meet up again, you know, to get to know each other.' Sarah didn't say anything about them being a couple, as Nathan had wanted to keep that away from the fans until he got back from America. She thought it was mostly so that the paparazzi wouldn't bother her while he wasn't around, which was thoughtful.
But Laura had been more observant. 'So, why were you holding hands then?'
'Errrr...' Sarah began, but found she could not finish her sentence; she didn't know what to say, or rather, what she was supposed to say.
She decided to put her confidence in Laura, she knew she wouldn't tell anyone if she asked her not to - at least not until they made their relationship public - and she didn't want to be caught out lying to one of her friends. If she was, she'd most likely lose her trust with Laura, and that is not something she wanted to be doing, not in times when she would be gaining a lot of unwanted media attention, and might need more than one person whom she knew she could rely on for help, if it came to that.
'Errr well, you mustn't tell anyone AT ALL until we go public, but me and Nath are errr together.' Sarah awkwardly explained.
'OMG congrats!'
'Sshhhh! Thank you.' Sarah shushed Laura as she became rather loud, before smiling when she thanked her.
Just at that moment, their teacher, Miss Steedman, walked in, and called them all to attention. It was only when they quietened down did she notice Nathan.
'Hi, I'm Ann, Ann Steedman.'
'Hi, I'm Nathan. I'm with Sarah, she's told me its OK if I stay to watch?' Nathan verified.
'Yes that's perfectly fine, you can just sit on one of the benches over there.' Ann informed him.
'Ok, thanks.' Nathan escaped over to Sarah. They had a whispered conversation while Miss Steedman began the class with the other girls.
