Jay was not happy. Not happy in the least. He was outraged, blown out of proportion by the excessive amounts of alcohol coursing through his veins. 'Let her choose' carried out of the window on the raging, swirling wind inside his intoxicated brain.
Because, in reality, that is exactly what she had done. Chosen. Chosen Nathan, and bound herself to him in more ways than she could ever have imagined. More ways than she would be able to escape or break. Ways in which the most powerful love can't even overcome. True love. But that would never be a problem as long as her stayed true to her, true to himself. She had to be his only truth, and he had to be hers.
Only taking into account his own feelings, and not even stopping to think or care about how his actions would affect Sarah's feelings, whom he apparently loved, Jay marched... stumbled his way over to a security guard. The girl he had been... Having fun with... Forgotten, the stench of alcohol overcoming his body.
'That gir...l o-er there...' he pointed, 'only six-een...' Jay slurred.
'The one with the auburn hair kissing the boy with the brown hair and floppy fringe? Girl wearing black skirt and white blouse?' the officer asked.
'Yea... Her.'
'Ok thank you.'
The guard swiftly moved over to Sarah and Nathan, making his authority known. He roughly broke them apart.
'It has been brought to my attention by a little bird that you are not old enough to be here miss.' he said looking at Sarah. Sarah looked at Nathan, pleading for help. Nathan was stood there in shock, a look of burning hatred on his face she had never seen before. He looked in the direction the officer had come from to see a passed out Jay lying on the floor. He narrowed his eyes.
'W- well...' Sarah began.
Nathan snapped back to the matter at hand.
'Yes she is old enough,' he tried lying, but the guard saw straight through him. Nathan has always been too honest to lie, it just wasn't in his true nature.
'Show me ID then.' he said brusquely, no manners present.
'She can't.' Nathan admitted.
'I see. And was it you who brought her here?' He questioned sternly.
'No, it was that man lying on the floor over there. He made me bring her. I didn't want to. I just wanted to go bowling but he made me. I knew something like this would happen. He just doesn't listen to me. And look at him! So drunk he's beside himself, passed out on the floor!' Nathan started to get worked up.
'Right, we shall see about this at the police station, when he has come round. All three of you are under arrest.'
'W- what?' Sarah asked before blacking out and collapsing onto Nathan, who caught her.
Twenty Minutes Later, At The Police Station...
Jay had woken up and groaned, before asking where he was.
'In a cell at the police station.' Nathan retorted, who was sat on the bed cuddling and protecting an extremely worried and scared Sarah. She had an hour to get back before her curfew, and she couldn't let her mum know about this, or about her going to a club. She'd be dead meat. Grounded for goodness-knows-how-long, and would be banned from seeing Nathan or any of the boys ever again. Her mum was bound to think them a bad influence on her.
'Why?' Jay asked, clearly confused, the alcohol had blurred his memories of the night, leaving nothing but wispy threads of anamnesis.
'Because you told the security guard at the club I was underage.' Sarah replied, the hurt clearly evident in her tone of voice.
