Twenty minutes later Jack called up the stairs to say that Sarah needed to go down for dinner. She got up off her bed and went to the bathroom splashing some cold water onto her eyes, trying to make them look less read and puffy. However, it didn't make much of a difference. She also washed her tear stained face to try to make herself feel cleaner, which did sort of work, and made her feel a little better.
She went downstairs and entered the kitchen, sitting down without saying a word. She stayed silent for the whole entire meal and when her brother asked why her eyes were read and puffy, and what she was upset about, she just glared at her mum before looking back down at her food. Jack didn't ask anymore questions, not wanting to receive or earn a glare from Sarah himself. She ate it very slowly, picking at it, when she would normally just get on and enjoy it. Her brother took this as a hint to leave her alone, and her mum told her not to glare at her like that. Sarah just huffed, scraping her plate and leaving the table, not bothering to hang around for pudding.
Even though it was only about 8 o'clock by this time, she really wasn't in the mood to do anything - not even watch a film or chat to Charlotte. So she packed her school bag and got ready for bed. She lay on her bed on her iPod as she didn't have a laptop and the family computer was downstairs - not a place she particularly wanted to be - and decided to look up what had been published about her and Nathan so she could prepare herself for the next day at school. No doubt people would have seen the articles if there were any floating around in cyber space.
She looked at the first result, which was titled 'Nathan Sykes from The Wanted unavailable?' and braced herself for what she was about to read.
Nathan Sykes is rumoured to have a girlfriend, Sarah Smith, 16, whom he met at the bands day of paint balling with fans. They spent the day together, and became rather close. This was only a week ago - is he moving things too fast with this relationship? Watch this space.
Sarah sighed in relief - this one wasn't too bad, better than she expected. But there were still other links to click on. She was a little annoyed however at their mention of him moving too fast. He is moving at just the right pace, thank you very much, and don't even dare say he is pressuring me into anything, because he isn't.
She clicked hesitantly on the next link.
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes Secret Girlfriend
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, 19, has been spotted out with a girl who looks to be about 16 or 17 - does he have a secret girlfriend? Fans of The Wanted, particularly those fans of Nathan Sykes - prepare for the news of Nathan's Sykes' girlfriend to come soon, though she may just be a friend. Nothing has been confirmed yet. It isn't unlikely he has a girlfriend though, he's, well, Nathan Sykes.

Attached was the picture of her and Nathan when they had rolled down the bank at paintballing, and were therefore in a rather awkward position. Or it was awkward for public view anyway, as it could provoke many more rumours, false information and fake stories to be leaked into circulation. This must have been the article Nathan had mentioned.

Already so close they can't keep thee hands off each other? This picture almost confirms thoughts that they are dating - his mystery girl is lying on top of him, and although they are both wearing helmets it is obvious they are looking into each others eyes.
This article was pretty much spot on. She was his secret girlfriend - she had to admit to herself to that she did quite like the sound of that - but hopefully when he came back they would become public. If her parents didn't prevent this from happening. She really hoped that the fans would accept her, and she wouldn't get too much hate. She knew she'd get some - of that she was 100% certain. She would have to try to ignore it, and not take it personally. But that was easier said than done. That article also wasn't too bad; it didn't worry her as it didn't mention her name. The next one, however, did. Which reminded her that the first article she had read also mentioned her name.
