The month dragged by for both Sarah and Nathan and it was finally the day that Nathan was coming home. Sarah had occupied herself with school work and meeting up with friends to pass the time - she wasn't being clingy, she just missed him. She was quite proud of herself for not sending him a torrent of texts too - she generally waited from him to say something along the lines of 'I've got a bit of time now, want to chat?'. They had texted on most days, called once a week and skyped a couple of times - when the boys had access to internet. It was the days when she didn't hear from him though that were the hardest - this affected her mood and she was miserable. Even if it was just a 'good morning' text she received from him, it put her in a happy mood for the whole day, just because he had taken the time to send her a quick message - even if he did sometimes forget about the time zones and his morning was actually her afternoon. But this just made her laugh. This was all to her parents dislike, and she still hadn't told Nathan what get mum had said (and her dad had agreed with), about her not being allowed to see him anymore. She wanted to tell him in person, but she was worried about what his reaction would be, and if her parents would go through with what they had said.
She tried to avoid the Internet because she didn't want to read anymore articles about her, and she had promised Nathan that she wouldn't. It was particularly hard though when the first few days at the beginning of the month she was badgered by paps and they even turned up at her school. This aroused a lot of questions and every corner she turned in the school building she felt as though eyes were burning into the back of her head. She stuck with Charlotte, and sometimes Laura, when she could because they knew what was happening. She was thankful that at least a few people knew her secret - and they were people whom she could trust not to tell the paps who were pressing for information - and people who she could turn to when she needed someone to talk to. The school were not impressed and when the paparazzi told the head teacher who they were trying to talk to, she had had to tell him what was going on, and begged him not to tell. He said he wouldn't. Some of them even tried to follow her home so they could find out where she lived to hound her even more, so she took a very long route home in the hope they would get tired of walking and leave he alone. It worked.
When Sarah told Nathan what had happened he sounded worried, but told Sarah everything would be ok. She hadn't believed him until today, because the whole month had passed, he was coming home, and no one had said for definite what was happening. They had agreed to tell the fans as soon as they could so that they didn't find out any other way - because this would just cause distrust of the boys in the fans, and Sarah desperately did not want to be the cause of that.
Sarah had wanted to meet him at the airport but they had both decided it would be better if she didn't because of the fact they hadn't told the fans yet. Instead, Nathan would drop his luggage off at the house, and then get a taxi to her house.
Sarah had just finished eating her lunch when she received a text, not surprisingly, from Nathan.
We landed about forty minutes ago - it was a nightmare getting trough the airport, so many fans had turned up! It was great to see them but it took a while! I'm about ten minutes away from the house now, so I'll be with you in about an hour? N xxx
Sarah beamed and re-read the message to make sure she'd got everything, and then it finally sunk in that she was going to see him in an hour, after a whole month. She was so happy her fingers flew across her phone keys, speed texting him back. Until she remembered what her parents had threatened.
That's great, I can't wait to see you! But, don't come straight to my house. Wait around the corner and text me when you're here, and I'll come out to meet you. xxx
He too replied almost instantly.
I know, it's been too long, missed you! Ok, I'll wait, is everything ok? xxx
