Watching the scene in the private room, Bai Xiying's eyes flickered with hesitation.

"Ms. Mu, did I come at a bad time?" Bai Xiying hesitated.

A familiar voice sounded, and Lin Xingzhu looked up to see Bai Xiying standing at the door, her bright eyes filled with uncertainty as she gazed into the room.

Instinctively, Lin Xingzhu shifted her body slightly to the side.

"Ms. Mu," Lin Xingzhu said with a half-smile, "so this was your plan."

It was clear that Mu Muqing had intentionally arranged the meeting in a bar, brought in a few women in cheongsams at just the right moment, and called Bai Xiying over to let her see a more reckless side of herself, aiming to tarnish her good image in Bai Xiying's eyes.

With a righteous look, Mu Muqing replied coolly, "I don't understand what you're talking about."

She then waved her hand towards the door, softening her voice, "You're in the right place."

Bai Xiying slowed her pace as she approached.

Noticing this, Lin Xingzhu subtly glanced at the silent woman in a cheongsam beside her. The woman felt a chill at Lin Xingzhu's indifferent gaze and instinctively forced a polite smile.

Tl note~ Cheongsam are another cute traditional Chinese robe.

Lin Xingzhu didn't want to make things difficult for them; they were just workers, after all. If the boss paid for their company, what else could they do but comply?

Lin Xingzhu withdrew her gaze and spoke in a clear voice loud enough for everyone to hear, "You can sit next to me, but I neither need your company nor can pay for it. Why don't you go find payment from the boss?"

She offered a faint smile, pointing to Mu Muqing on the opposite sofa, "The one paying is right here."

With a playful wink, she added, "Ms. Mu must be a bit out of the loop; I've long stopped involving myself in such matters..."

Pausing, she casually glanced at Bai Xiying, who was curiously watching her, and continued with a smile, "But Ms. Mu, that clap just now and the way the beauties came in—looks like you're quite the expert."

While Lin Xingzhu smiled brightly, she also felt increasingly annoyed.

She was tired of Mu Muqing's hypocrisy; if that was the case, let her enjoy this fortune alone.

Bai Xiying widened her eyes in surprise, glancing at Mu Muqing as if she were taken aback by this side of her.

Mu Muqing's expression darkened, but since it was indeed her doing, she couldn't retort further in front of Bai Xiying—who knew what Lin Xingzhu might say next.

Caught between the two, Bai Xiying felt increasingly uncomfortable as their verbal sparring intensified.

"Ms. Mu," Bai Xiying called out, "didn't you say you wanted to discuss some work-related matters?"
