At three in the afternoon, the meeting began.

In the spacious conference room, attendees were seated. Sun Li sat at the head of the table, listening to the speaker report in front of the large projector. Lin Xingzhu was seated to her left, flipping through the materials for the meeting, putting on a serious appearance as if she were fully engaged.

However, concealed by the table, Lin Xingzhu's left hand was tucked into her pocket, pressed against the seam of her pants.

Inside the pocket was a silenced phone.

Unable to resist Bai Xiying's request, Lin Xingzhu had opened the app as she was asked, occasionally swiping her finger during the meeting.

Bai Xiying had expressed that just the thought of Lin Xingzhu sitting in a serious meeting filled with elites, her expression stern and her formal attire cold and dignified, while privately controlling her with her long fingers, made it all the more thrilling.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xingzhu thought, "..."

Yet, on the other end, Bai Xiying was whining about how uncomfortable it was to be left hanging, having felt that way for half the day.

Listening to Bai Xiying's mock trembling and hoarse pleas, Lin Xingzhu's heart softened.

... After all, Sun Li was leading the meeting this afternoon; she wouldn't have much to do.

With this thought, Lin Xingzhu subtly clenched her right hand into a fist, covering her mouth to hide her guilty expression.

Just then, Sun Li noticed her movement.

With a slight smile, she said, "Why don't we hear Lin's opinion first?"

Sun Li had already received news that Lin Xingzhu would soon be leaving for the headquarters.

In the few months Lin Xingzhu had been at Xingyuan, her capabilities had become evident. Many colleagues of Sun Li had privately remarked that with some training, Lin's successor was indeed promising.

As the speaker presented the project they were reporting on, Lin Xingzhu had participated in the early stages, and Sun Li looked at her with a smile, her eyes filled with expectation.

Lin Xingzhu: "..."

She shifted her gaze, casually returning her focus to the young man standing in front of the projector, who was nervously looking at her, hoping for her guidance.

But she truly hadn't heard clearly; Bai Xiying's alluring voice had distracted her at the wrong moment.

Lin Xingzhu quickly scanned the projector, formulating her thoughts.

"The presentation was good, but regarding the market research on competitors..."
