After tidying up the room she would be staying in, Jiang Yeyu finally had time to explore the apartment.

She wandered around for a bit, then turned to Lin Xingzhu, who was leaning against the bar sipping water, and gave her a thumbs up. "Sis, I didn't expect you to be so capable at living on your own."

"I mean look at how organized everything is—you could just move in a girlfriend right away!"

Lin Xingzhu shot her a glance. "You're always so talkative."

However, noticing that Jiang Yeyu was scratching her neck again, she put down her cup and said softly, "I'll go get you some ointment for those bug bites."

"No need!" Jiang Yeyu stopped her, smiling. "I can handle it myself. I noticed there's a pharmacy just outside the neighborhood when I came in. I'm not that useless!"

Over the past few days, her cousin had helped her with her luggage enough; she didn't want to trouble her with such a small matter.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Xingzhu lazily pulled her foot back. "Alright, then go ahead."

After coming out of the pharmacy, Jiang Yeyu held two tubes of ointment. She noticed there were also bite marks on her cousin's neck, which stood out clearly against her fair skin, making it hard to ignore.

Walking cheerfully through the community, Jiang Yeyu looked around, humming a little tune.

She would have a long period of free living—how wonderful!

Suddenly, Jiang Yeyu's eyes lit up, and she was almost mesmerized.

The profile of the girl in front was so beautiful! It really struck her aesthetic!

She blinked and couldn't help but quicken her pace, wanting to see the girl's face up close, but she didn't dare to be too obvious and had to restrain herself to follow behind.

With Lin Xingzhu, Jiang Yeyu could speak freely, but in front of such a gorgeous stranger, she swallowed hard and felt a bit shy.

Fortunately, they were heading in the same direction. Especially when she saw the beautiful girl enter the elevator she was about to take, Jiang Yeyu suddenly couldn't hold back and jogged over, calling out, "Wait for me!"

Bai Xiying paused, her finger hovering over the elevator button, and pressed it again, waiting.

"Th-thank you."

Jiang Yeyu's face turned red as she shyly expressed her gratitude.

"It's nothing," Bai Xiying replied nonchalantly.

Jiang Yeyu took two steps to the left, pressed the button for her floor, then stepped back to stand properly.

Why did she feel so intimidated? Jiang Yeyu thought to herself, this girl hadn't even said anything, yet she felt such a strong presence that made her hesitant to speak.
