Bai Xiying sat by the computer, double-checking the information on the registration form. After confirming that everything was correct, she submitted it.

When her phone rang, she glanced at the caller ID, looked around, and took the call as she headed to the break room.

"I have the results of the investigation you asked for. I've sent them to your email."

The man on the other end said something before hanging up.

Bai Xiying returned her phone to her pocket, picked up her cup, and made herself a coffee, planning to go back to her workstation.

As she stepped out, Mu Muqing unexpectedly appeared at the door.
