Y/n pulled at the hem of her dress, fidgeting in the backseat of the car as Agatha drove toward the Avengers Compound. Sitting next to Agatha, Wanda glanced back at her daughter, noticing her discomfort.
"You know, sweetheart," Wanda began, a smirk playing on her lips, "if you keep fidgeting like that, the dress is going to wrinkle before we even get to the party."
Y/n groaned, sinking back into her seat. "I don't know why we have to go at all. We could have stayed home, watched movies, and called it a night."
Agatha chuckled, her eyes focused on the road. "Trust me, I'm with you. But your mother has this thing about 'holiday spirit,' which means suffering through Tony Stark's extravagant parties."
Wanda rolled her eyes, though the smile never left her face. "You two are so dramatic. It's one party, and it'll be fun! You'll see your friends, there will be good food, and if you're lucky, we won't have to stay the whole night."
Y/n looked out the window, still not convinced. The only thing she was looking forward to was spending time with Sabrina. It was hard enough sneaking around during regular days, but with the chaos of Tony's Christmas party, it was an ideal distraction. Seeing Sabrina again gave her a small burst of excitement, though she kept it hidden from her mothers.
The festive decorations glittered in the distance as they pulled up to the Avengers Compound. Strings of lights draped across the building, and Tony managed to rig a holographic snowstorm that hovered around the property.
Y/n wrinkled her nose. "Holographic snow? Seriously?"
Wanda sighed. "It's Tony. Did you expect anything less?"
As soon as they stepped inside, the party's energy hit them. Music boomed from the speakers, and people were already mingling with drinks in hand, laughing and chatting. Tony was holding court in the middle of the room, a Santa hat perched crookedly on his head as he entertained the guests with some over-the-top story.
Y/n immediately slipped away from her mothers, spotting her friends—Peter, Kate, Yelena, James, and, most importantly, Sabrina—by the massive Christmas tree. She felt a jolt of happiness seeing Sabrina's familiar grin and made her way over.
"There she is!" Peter called, waving her over. "Finally! We thought your moms wouldn't let you out of the house."
Y/n rolled her eyes. "They're not that bad. I'm just not a fan of parties."
Kate laughed, elbowing Y/n playfully. "You and me both. But if we're stuck here, we might as well make the best of it."
Y/n slipped into a comfortable spot next to Sabrina, who casually wrapped an arm around her waist, keeping it low-key. Their friends were in on their secret, and they agreed to keep it that way—at least for now. Sabrina squeezed Y/n's hand, her smile soft and knowing.
"You okay?" Sabrina asked, her voice low enough that only Y/n could hear.
Y/n smiled, feeling the warmth of Sabrina's touch. "Now I am."
The night, she progressed in a blur of games, holiday snacks, and laughter. Y/n's mood lightened considerably, especially with Sabrina by her side. Eventually, Yelena nudged Peter, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Okay, enough of this. Let's sneak off to the roof. I need air."
"Air?" Kate raised an eyebrow. "More like you need to escape before someone ropes you into another ugly sweater competition."
"Exactly," Yelena said, grinning. "You coming, Rogers?"
James chuckled, shrugging. "Lead the way."
The group made their way through the compound, dodging the crowds of adults and sneaking up to the roof. Once they stepped outside, the cold air hit them, a welcome change from the stuffy warmth of the party. They all settled into a loose circle, Sabrina pulling Y/n into her lap without a second thought. The others barely noticed, too busy talking and joking around.
