Y/n looked up from her homework at the kitchen island, nibbling on her pencil thoughtfully. The warm smell of pasta sauce simmered on the stove filled the kitchen, Rio stirring the pot with one hand while scrolling through a recipe on her phone with the other. At the counter, Agatha was slicing basil with her usual precision, adding that perfect finishing touch to the meal.

"Mom? Mama?" Y/n began, keeping her tone casual as she turned the page in her workbook. "I was thinking... we could do a family movie night tonight. A Disney marathon, maybe?"

Rio looked over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow. "Disney, huh? Isn't that the one with all the singing?" she teased, her mouth quirking up in a smile.

"Yep! It's fun and cheerful," Y/n said, trying to sound as convincing as possible. "The colors, the music-it's perfect for relaxing, and you don't even have to think. You just... enjoy it!"

Agatha laughed softly, shaking her head as she set down the basil. "Sweetheart, I don't know if we're really the Disney-marathon type," she said with a small smirk. "I mean, it's all so... happy. And the magic... I'm not sure how accurate it is."

"That's the point!" Y/n shot back, smiling as she folded her arms over her homework. "That's why it's fun! You can watch and see all the ways they get magic wrong. And besides, who doesn't need a little bit of singing animals and dancing candlesticks every once in a while?"

Rio tilted her head thoughtfully, a playful glint in her eye. "Maybe you're right. It could be... interesting," she said, sharing a look with Agatha. "What do you say?"

Agatha sighed in mock reluctance, her eyes sparkling with humor. "Alright. For you, love," she said, reaching over to squeeze Y/n's hand. "But no promises that we'll make it through all the movies without some commentary."

Y/n beamed in victory, her eyes shining. "Deal! Just wait; you're going to love it."

They finished dinner with Y/n eagerly filling her moms in on the movies they'd be watching, highlighting the magical songs, colorful characters, and her favorite scenes. Every so often, Rio and Agatha exchanged a small smile, clearly amused by their daughter's excitement.

After dinner, Y/n set up the living room, piling blankets and pillows on the couch and carefully arranging snacks around the coffee table. When Rio walked in carrying a large bowl of popcorn, she was met with Y/n's proud grin.

"This is going to be the best movie night ever," Y/n declared, taking the popcorn from Rio and settling in on the couch.

Agatha sat down beside her, giving Y/n a gentle nudge. "Alright, what masterpiece do we start with?"

"Only the best-The Lion King!" Y/n said, picking up the remote. "Get ready because it's going to be emotional."

As the iconic opening scene of The Lion King unfolded, Y/n was already mouthing along to the lyrics of "Circle of Life." Beside her, Agatha watched the animals gathering on the screen with wide eyes as if trying to make sense of the sudden explosion of color and song. On the other hand, Rio was leaning forward with her arms crossed, studying every detail with intense concentration.

"Look at Scar," Rio muttered when he first appeared. "Classic villain setup. The shadows, the narrow eyes-he's practically oozing evil. Is this for kids?"

"Mom, it's just a cartoon! Relax!" Y/n laughed, giving her a playful nudge. "You're supposed to just enjoy it."

Agatha chuckled softly beside her. "She's right, you know. This is fun," she said, giving Rio a gentle nudge.

When the movie reached its emotional peak, Y/n glanced over and noticed Agatha's expression had softened, her eyes growing misty. She pressed her lips tightly together, fighting the emotions stirred by the music and the story. It was a side of her mom she rarely saw-gentle, vulnerable.

"Mama, you're crying!" Y/n teased, poking Agatha's arm.

"It's the music," Agatha sniffed, dabbing at her eyes with the sleeve of her sweater. "I don't know how they do it, but it's like it reaches right in and tugs at your heart."

Y/n chuckled, feeling a wave of affection for her moms. It was somehow both hilarious and touching to see them react to these movies with such intensity.

They moved on to Beauty and the Beast, and by now, Rio was fully immersed in analyzing the magic. When the Beast transformed back into a prince, she leaned forward with a skeptical look, muttering, "Now that's one strong spell. That would've taken months of preparation. Not sure I buy it."

Y/n laughed so hard she nearly spilled the popcorn. "Mom, it's just magic! Just go with it, okay?"

Next came The Little Mermaid, and the moment Ariel made her fateful deal with Ursula, Rio couldn't contain herself. "Oh no, this girl has no idea what she's getting into. Doesn't she know you never make a deal with a witch without reading the fine print?"

Agatha snorted, nudging Rio with her elbow. "Guess that's why they call her a poor, unfortunate soul," she quipped, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes.

Y/n laughed so hard she was practically in tears, clutching her sides. "You two are the best," she managed to say between giggles. "I can't believe you're taking this so seriously."

The evening went on. Each movie brought more laughter, Rio's comments, and Agatha's soft smiles. By the time they reached Aladdin, Y/n had fully nestled into the cozy setup. She sprawled out, her head resting on Agatha's lap while Agatha gently ran her fingers through Y/n's hair. Meanwhile, Rio sat behind Agatha, wrapping her arms around her wife and pulling her back against her chest.

At one point, Y/n glanced up and noticed the tender look passing between her moms. Agatha had tilted her head back slightly, resting against Rio's shoulder, her eyes softened by the flickering glow of the screen. Rio's hands were wrapped protectively around her, and they shared a quiet, knowing smile.

It was a small, wordless moment, but it filled Y/n's heart with warmth. This was her family; these were her moms, who were right beside her, sharing in a world of magic and laughter.

As the final credits rolled and the room settled into a peaceful silence, Y/n sighed, contented. She felt safe, surrounded by the two people who meant everything to her.

Agatha leaned down, brushing a soft kiss to Y/n's forehead. "Thank you for tonight, my love," she murmured. "We needed this."

Rio nodded, smiling as she stroked Agatha's arm. "You were right. Disney magic is its own kind of special."

Y/n couldn't help the wide smile that spread across her face. "See? I told you. Disney night is the best."

The three of them settled deeper into the couch, wrapped in blankets and warmth, as they drifted into a comfortable silence. And in that moment, Y/n knew there was nothing more perfect than this-an evening spent with her moms, lost in magic, laughter, and their love.
