The streets of Westview's magical district sparkled like a scene from a snow globe, a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights and enchanted decorations. Snowflakes swirled around in the crisp air, settling softly on rooftops and cobblestone streets, adding extra magic to the holiday season. Y/n pulled her scarf tighter around her neck, watching her breath puffed out in tiny clouds.

"This is perfect weather for shopping," Rio said excitedly, looping her arm through Y/n's. "Snow, festive lights, and an entire district filled with magical goodies just waiting for us to find them."

Y/n grinned at her mom's excitement. "I think you're more excited about this trip than I am."

Rio shrugged, her smile bright. "It's Christmas shopping, Y/n. Of course, I'm excited! It's been forever since we had a proper mother-daughter day."

Y/n chuckled, letting her mom guide her through the snow-covered streets. It was true-between school, magical training, and the general chaos of their lives, Y/n hadn't spent as much time with Rio as she used to. And with Agatha preferring to stay home and avoid the holiday shopping frenzy, this trip had turned into a special bonding moment between Y/n and Rio.

Agatha had been content to stay by the fire, wrapped in her cozy robe with a cup of tea. "You two go and brave the shopping madness," she had said with a knowing smirk that morning. "I'll be here when you get back. Try not to bring home any cursed objects this time, alright?"

Y/n had laughed, but Rio had given Agatha a teasing glare. "That was one time, mi amor."

"Sure, one time," Agatha replied with a mischievous gleam in her eye. "But you two have a knack for turning a simple shopping trip into an adventure."

Rio had grinned and kissed Agatha on the cheek. "Well, we'll make sure this one is just as exciting."

As Y/n and Rio wandered through the magical district, they could feel the energy in the air. Holiday music played softly from enchanted street lamps, and wreaths glowed with faint magical auras hung on shop doors. The district was bustling with families, witches, and mystical creatures, all looking for the perfect holiday gifts.

"Alright," Rio said, pulling a neatly folded list from her pocket. "We've got a few things to pick up today. Some potion ingredients for your Mama, a new dress for you, and if we happen to stumble upon something sparkly, maybe a little treat for me." She winked, her excitement palpable.

Y/n raised an eyebrow, her smile widening. "You're going all out, huh?"

Rio laughed, tugging her playfully down the street. "Of course I am! It's Christmas! Now, let's start with the essentials."

The first stop on their list was a small, cozy shop tucked between two larger stores. Its windows were fogged up from the warmth inside. When they stepped in, the scent of herbs, spices, and potions greeted them, and the air hummed with soft magic. Shelves were lined with glowing vials, rare ingredients, and spell books, each more mystical than the last.

"This place is totally Agatha's vibe," Rio said, picking up a jar filled with something dark and swirling. "But I get why you love it here."

Y/n nodded, scanning the shelves for the items on Agatha's list. "Yeah, Mama's always sending me here for stuff. It's relaxing, honestly."

Rio raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "You, relaxed? You're Mama's kid."

Y/n smirked. "And you're the one who keeps us from getting too serious all the time."

Rio laughed, watching Y/n search for ingredients. "Well, someone has to make sure there's fun in this family." She paused by a display of enchanted accessories-bracelets that shimmered with spells, rings that changed color depending on the wearer's mood. "Oh, come check this out, Y/n! These are gorgeous."
